Lost in 7, then 6, then 5.Power play merchants
It’s a tale as old as time. Look at the last oilers vs kings game, your Gdt was filled with complaints about the lack of power plays since the oilers lack the finish on 5 on 5.Lost in 7, then 6, then 5.
“poWErPlAy MeRchaNts.”
Whiners.
Nope. They said in the beginning of this season they will not use it. They play 1-2-2 nowDoes Jim Hiller still use the 1-3-1? If he does then I don't expect much to change in the playoffs. The Oilers have figured out how to break through it with ease, and one forechecker doesn't leave room for a Kings counterattack. They're incredibly solid and skilled, this year's round 1 will be determined by which structure they employ, as well as how their PK holds up. The Oilers are 45% on the PP vs the Kings in the playoffs the last 3 years combined.
Tough pill to swallowIt’s a tale as old as time. Look at the last oilers vs kings game, your Gdt was filled with complaints about the lack of power plays since the oilers lack the finish on 5 on 5.
Kings only have 4 more 5v5 goals than the Oilers this year. It’s a tale as old as time. Look at the last oilers vs kings game, your Gdt was filled with complaints about the lack of power plays since the oilers lack the finish on 5 on 5.
If the Oilers are true PP merchants, it’s even more embarrassing to progressively get tossed in the first round in worst fashion. It’s a tale as old as time. Look at the last oilers vs kings game, your Gdt was filled with complaints about the lack of power plays since the oilers lack the finish on 5 on 5.
he belongs in the circus. team leading -7What's wrong with Fiala? Picked him in fantasy and he's been quite the disappointment so far.
Byfield and Foegele if it's another 1st rd matchup against the Oil.I don't see where the goals are going to come from when the going gets tough. Solid team though.
Fiala will provide the goals. For the other team.I don't see where the goals are going to come from when the going gets tough. Solid team though.
Yeah… unfortunately our GM went full Pejorative Slur. Never go full Pejorative Slur. They're good, but they'd be even scarier IMO minus Fiala and + Vilardi and Faber(also avoiding that wasted year experimenting with Dubois). Imagine that might make them among the top Cup contenders out West by now if you adjust the lineup with those 2 added and also Doughty returning soon. We'll never know for sure though.
They're way more dynamic this year over last without Maclellan.Same ol'
Ok team, will bore you to death in the regular season then drop in round 1 to the Oil
Not only is his production mediocre, but he sucks at the rest of the game as well. What's wrong with Fiala? Picked him in fantasy and he's been quite the disappointment so far.
Byfield was moved to center this year, after spending the past season and a half growing accustomed to wing.Speaking of which, what's up with Byfield and Fiala?
Fiala had 73 points last year but on pace for 51..
Byfield seems to have picked it up lately at least, but had a really slow start.
Hey! You don't say that from your heart, do you!?But LA? Their fans are mostly pretty cool, and are just better people than the pieces of shit in BC. Especially here and in Social Media.
Isn't this a pretty typical problem when multiple cup winning 1c, 1d, and 1g players age out? LA is pretty competitive compared to their 2010s cup winning peers. Their one shot at growing a 1c was finding a young, on-the-outs project and that guy totally shit the bed. Maybe they can try another. Anyway, I kind of admire teams that don't pack it in for a decade and collect lotto tickets. No 1C, 1D nor 1G. We need to clear out the front office.
