If MTL likes grinders and are so allergic to scoring maybe they'd be interested in a Brown + Sutter package?

Damn that's bad for the Habs.

I seriously doubt you'd get Gallagher for Carter and you certainly wouldn't get Sergachev for Kempe. FWIW I think Carter is the best player there right now though.

The Kings laugh and hang up the phone. Carter plays more minutes, scores at a higher rate, is better defensively, and wins faceoffs. Not only is Gallagher a slight downgrade (at best) from Carter, the Kings would be creating a huge hole at center for no good reason. The only advantage Gallagher has over Carter is his age, but that doesn't count for much when you're trying to win in the immediate future. Swapping prospects makes little sense to the Kings for similar reasons. Adrian Kempe is a talented young winger who has been playing professional hockey against men for the last three years, with potential to make an impact on the roster in the next season or two. It will be years before Sergachev reaches a similar point in his career.

Sorry Habs, you can keep your players.

It's funny to see how uninformed and uneducated so many are when it comes to Jeff Carter. Goes to show how many of these people don't watch hockey outside of their bubble.

He scores more than The forward your fans are claiming is better than Carts. The only thing he has on Carts is he is younger.

Thats not the only thing he has. I was rebutting ur awful claim, carter scores easily.:laugh: Both players dont score easily. :shakehead

Since when did Brendan Gallagher hold so much value? Lol.

He's only had one 20 goal season and has never hit 50 points in his career. Not to mention he's a midget and will be worn down by the age of 30.

First off it was not my awful claim that was another poster. Second off Carts is a much better offensive player. The only advantage going your way is age. There is a reason Carts is on team Canada every time there is a big event (olympics, World Cup etc).

That remains to be seen. Sergachev is a very talented high end NHL prospect who could very well crack the NHL within a couple years IMO.

The Canadiens love midgets, so Carter doesn't meet their height requirement.

6'4" 236 lbs of Shea Weber disagrees. ;)

I needed a good laugh today. HF did not disappoint.

On a more serious note, Carter just isn't available. Any talk of Carter would have to start with PK.

PK Subban???:laugh::laugh: Great now a 60 point player forward is worth a 60 point defender who happens to be a top 5 D. Now, talk about being delusional. Can I have Doughty for Pacs??

is that all you have to cling on? 1993?

i know we shouldn't be offended by proposals that are terrible

and since the infamous Ryder, Halak, and 2nd i know what to expect out of Montreal

but it's still offensive since Montreal is supposedly a hockey town, the amount of garb that can come out from there makes a lot of us question the overall knowledge these people have

sure, breathe and live and die Habs, but there are other players in the league you know

and just cause Carter can ram Gallagher back to the stone age, doesn't mean you guys can screw us like this simply because you're drooling over Carter

so cheap cap hits and age are the new Lemieux and Gretzky eh?

i know a kid named Sonny McSunshine, he's 17 years old and he'd be happy with $10/hour

you can add him to your BeAGM mode if you like

When talking about Carter and Gallagher using Lemieux and Gretzky as a reference just makes you look ...well you know.
