Budaj has certainly earned the chance. What you do is go with him until he gives a reason not to go with him. Can always go back if Quick isn't up to speed. Considering his story, Budaj seems to be mentally strong enough to accept whatever happens, but it would sort of suck to say thanks, now sit on the bench through no fault of your own.

Let Quick rehab completely to 100%, also if Budaj stays like this, maybe shut down Quick for the season.

That defensive shift when Doughy was caught down low was really good. Great all around.

Now shutting out the Caps tomorrow would be pretty phenomenal.

Our monsters were monsters. Dominating effort. Flyers weren't even in the same building for 75% of the game, good of Budaj to stay focused and calm when they did push. Doughty and Kopitar with point streaks which is exactly what we need.

Tomorrow will be a major challenge, but I'm extremely proud of these guys staying in the race long enough to round into form and of Budaj for full on restarting his NHL career.

Not to take away from Budaj but give props to the defense as well, McNabb tying a guy up taking away a sure goal, the rookies playing lockdown...no one got near our net with any frequency. Forbort and Gravel using their reach to snuff plays is glorious. Best d-core since 2012 imo.
