The thing is that nobody is buying those 2€ tickets. Dynamo rarely fills the stands. Nobody in Moscow wants to go to the Luzhniki dump to watch a game with Yugra from a crappy seat, even when the tickets cost less than one beer. That's not a way to boost attendance.

Actually top 3 most expensive countries in the EU are Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Luxembourg tied, in that order.

The non-EU Norway beats all of them.

I am surprised Luxemburg gets edged out.

Monaco? It's a country... Not EU though

Lev Praha will stay at the old creepy Tipsport arena for couple of years. The modern O2 arena is occupied by Slavia (Czech extraliga).

Slavia has treaty till 2016 and owner of O2 is owner of HC Slavia. O2 has bigger profit from concerts then sport event. I think nothing happens for next 10 years. Only new stadium can change it.

Isn't the O2 arena pretty big? What's the average attendence for Slavia?

It is....look http://isport.blesk.cz/clanek/hokej...yt-ruza-snad-litvinov-ani-porazit-nechce.html

Againts Kometa Brno are outnumberd by away fans.....http://www.hc-kometa.cz/fotogalerie.asp?zobraz=kategorie&kategorie=453&poslano=true

On the other hand, they have football oriented fans, they makes chores, sings, at play off or on derby it looks good

That's sad.. It makes AIK:s home games look full (I guess around 3,500 in an arena with a capacity of 8,094)

Why don't they move to a smaller stadium? Do they even fill up the arena against Sparta? :shakehead

Old arena doesnt comply requirements for 1 tier and derby always take large attentions 11-13k but i think, it have never fill up O2.

O2 have too much VIPs seats I read i think 2,5k are VIPs or club seats. Expensive megalomanic arena...it is long story, briefly guilty is Husak.

As a simple comparison with the prices of alcohol in places like Finland from my point of view is extra expensive, and most of us wouldnt drink at all if we were there, yet you guys get drunk every weekend (i got friends in Finland :D).

They just go to Estonia and buy some. I've been on the Helsinki-Tallinn, Tallinn-Helsinki ferries....

This is actually a big issue with the government, people travelling to Estonia and buying alcohol in huge quantities. Money away from the government owned alcohol retailing company Alko.

What is the reason for Minsk losing so much in terms of attendance compared to last season?

For the same reason Avtomobilist sold out like 10 games in a row. Results affect attendance. Nobody wants to see hopeless team getting demolished 7-2. Or even worse, play a 1-1 game.

Geneva's average is influenced by the Winter classic which boosts their figures.

A bunch of games in Babruysk added the effect too, I think.

That's what I was thinking. But then the total percent sold out should be higher than what figures suggest - because those games that are at babruysk lower the total capacity of all attended games...

Note: these are completely wrong because Liiga's statistics are terrible and several games have 0 attendance. For example Jokerit is missing three games and their actual average is around 8600.
