Connor scores 3 but how come no one metions thoes two IDIOTIC ozone penalties he took and the brain fart icing.

After his penalty brought colorado back in the game, Maurice rewards Connor with more 4 on 4 ice time and benches Ehlers again, when it is the danes time to shine!!!

Hellybuck stole that game and Pionk again was the best jet IMHO.

Happy and positive new year everyone.
This post doesn't sound positive . ;)

Great divisional win boys , we needed that big time . Now let's beat the Stanley Cup champion Toronto Makebelieves on Thursday night . Connor with a stupid penalty but if he gets a Hatty every time he does that , i'll take it . I'm going back to sleep now , think i'm still a little out of it .

Wonder what Wheeler was saying to Roslovic after his empty netter.

Had trouble watching the game due to a New Years function but winning always beats the hell out of losing. Colorado is in a similar rough patch like us lately too glad we could get the result.

Kyle Connor, despite two IDIOTIC o-zone penalties and a brain fart for an icing, scored three goals as was a major positive factor in winning the game for the Jets!

There.

Did Beaulieu get injured blocking a shot again last night? Seem to recall something like that. Did he return to action?

Nice to get the win and that is really all that counts.

However, it sure appeared that the 3rd line was really struggling out there. Not just against the Avs top guns but against the Avs 3rd and 4th lines. Only the eye test but to me and the people I was watching the game with line#3 looked like a horror show on ice.

Great to get a big win on the road against a divisional opponent.

Rosie picked up three assists and could have had himself a goal if he chose road less travelled/declined the dish. He looked really strong in the third to my reckoning.
Ya that's how i want Roslovic playing , working hard all game and skating hard . Maybe Frenchie coming back and possibly taking his spot on the second line put a little fire in his belly .;)

Such a physical game by the Jets in Denver. I think they threw as many hits as they have ever done in regular time. Sbisa and Potato were both in a bad mood, Potato made Mashies out of some poor Avalanche forward midway through the game. Shades of Buff on that beat down play.

When he is really on his game - his style is much like a dangling Laine when lugging it up through the neutral. In fact his number fooled me on the last assist, I thought it was a Laine-man-pass.

EDIT: OK I realize my unchecked optimism is running rampant. I credit my headache and a fully empty bottle of cheap Elyssia Gran Cuvee Brut.

Strange. The original Jets only won 2 of 23 games in Montreal, according to Jets historian Curtis Walker, from 1979-96.

Edit:

The 2.0 Jets have a record of 10-22-2 in Montreal. Not impressive but much better than the 1.0 days.
This is very confusing. You must be combining 1.0 and 2.0, but even then that makes it seem like 2.0 hasn't lost in Montreal. UNLESS you are including Atlanta's record - are you?

What a fun game to watch. Love this style of hockey. Maybe one day the NHL will increase the size of the rinks to see this more often.
Great game by Hellebuyck to keep us in it and our snipers did the rest.
Happy New Year everyone!
It's been proven that bigger rinks decrease scoring.

I'd rather closer quarters so that the supremely talented can showcase that. Seeing Connor's hands, Ehlers wheeling, so much more impressive on the NHL sized ice.

I really liked Roslovic last night and Appleton and Harkins impressed as well.

Was at friends for New years and watched the game there , apparently they don't watch many games because every time the Jets scored my yell of yaaaaa or f*** yaaaaa scared their little fart smeller of a dog so bad it was trembling . :scared: I felt bad but come on it's the Jets and you don't sit there like your at a library .

The effort by Hellebuyck in the early parts of the game was legendary and won the game for us! I loved Pionk’s game. And great to see the hatty from Connor! 6 PIM, 3 goals :D

The pk has to get better though. The Avalanche commentator said that this was the hardest the Avs has played all year and that it can be demoralizing to lose after such an effort. So it was a good game by them as well.
I hope they're demoralized for months!
