If the GM isn't committed enough to try to sell someone on being on the team when they have a whole year to do so, why should anyone else in the organization be that committed, including the product on the ice?

the whole product one the ice smells like this loser mentality, once you are here for some time you start to suck once you got out you start to rock. it took some time for Pegula to find someone who translates his attitude to the ice. this or he is f***ing stupid.

We know Fabbro is a good defensive complement to an offensive defenseman because data with Josi exists that said so. VIEWING said so. It's part of why a couple of us were beating that drum going back years now. And yet here we are... waiting for Jokiharju to become something he isn't for the fourth straight year.

They still don't understand that these small moves matter. Fabbro and Reimer being put on waivers and lost to Anaheim are exactly the problem. Those 2 moves alone may cost them the playoffs this season.

With Adams not willing to make any big changes for making the playoffs this season either. Is this his last season if not making the playoffs ? For example this season he made everything he could improve the roster and if he fails why should he get another chance if he wasnt capable this season. Sure he tried making a trade for a better player but if other teams can trade for a oreilly eichel and reinhart why would not we be able making a trade . Example a first round pick and That goalie prospect we have for a reinhart player. We always need to overpay when other teams gets our good players for less

The "depths of the drought" is now. We didn't lose the fanbase until Adams took over and ran Ullmark, Eichel and Reinhart out of town.

Deep revisionist history here.

The depths of the drought were the 12k attendance worst teams of the decade years, of course. Not a grouchy fanbase pissed off that we lost some close games to very good teams in Dec 2024.

And Adams "running" those guys out of town is a new level of cope. They were long gone mentally.

Have you guys not seen NHLPA polls and the like? They all say the same exact thing. So do Sabres alumni, who generally come to like it here later in life, but dreaded coming here initially.

Then you get mad at Adams for presenting reality when you scream at him for answers. Some satisfaction in shooting the messenger I guess.

It was hard to get guys to come here when we were good. Why wouldn't it be nearly impossible now that we're North Korea according to our own fans?

They lost to a team with higher taxes and worse weather 20 hours ago.

That team has made the playoffs six of the last seven years. They’ve finished under .500 once in their existence.

Yup ... we overrate Thompson a bit here. He's a lower end 1C around the league imo. He's still very good and I'm happy to have him but in terms of role on that team, he just wouldn't be best utilized in their bottom 6.

I absolutely don’t overrate any player on the Sabres. But hey, I’m sure Trochek will shut down Connor McDavid because roles.

If you can’t figure out how to acquire players, and you also are terrible at developing players, then why do you have this job?
