Unfortunately, in the past five years NHL players have discovered that Buffalo is a bit of an acquired taste

However they kept the wool over the league’s eyes in the decades previous, I’ll never know

The depths of the drought were the 12k attendance worst teams of the decade years, of course. Not a grouchy fanbase pissed off that we lost some close games to very good teams in Dec 2024.

And Adams "running" those guys out of town is a new level of cope. They were long gone mentally.

We got manhandled by a team that had Matt Martin in it's lineup in the year 2024 and lost a home game in the biggest meltdown in team history with players openly taking about panicking.

If you zoom in closely enough, it’s only one loss, and why react to that? Then move on to the next one, same story

If it’s hard for him to get players, and has to constantly make that excuse, then he’s not the man for the job.

Even if he is 10000 percent right, it’s his job to get past obstacles. If he can’t, he’s not the man for the job.

And no one is screaming at him for answers. We all know the answers. People are screaming at him for results. His words and talk are just comically dumb and the cherry on top

This. If after five years you are complaining about things outside your control, then you clearly aren’t the man for the job. Does anyone see this guy having a job in two years? Let’s fast forward to the inevitable and fire him

People want a move now. This is the situation we're in.

I'm ok with people being upset he didn't get marino, etc. But honestly I really don't care about 5 years ago which was very different circumstances. (He did get hall too)

Well, deals happen all the time. But it's not even about now, he failed his job and should go, it would be fair.

Marino/Jensen/Kovacevic/Fabbro - four RD, not one. No excuses for this fool.
 
If no one wants to come to Buffalo then it makes you wonder how you got ROR and E. Kane?

Oh wait that wasn't Adams. So players wanted to come here up until Kevyn Adams got hired.

Adamds got absolutely worked on the eichel and reinhart trades. 2 of the top scoring players in the league and 2 recent Stanley cups winners.

Was that the area's fault we have little to show for that?

Here’s the thing: a veteran player with a family making 3-6 milly a year would absolutely love Buffalo for its affordability, quality schools, and overall small town vibe. Proximity to Canada/Toronto? Another huge plus.

If you can’t sell Buffalo to such a prospective player, you can’t sell.

Give me a couple more Tuckers at 5 mil each (with at least one on D) and this is a playoff bubble team. But no, running with Quinn/Peterka/Cozens/Krebs with a combined paltry sub 20 goals 1/3 into a season when they’re relied upon to provide critical secondary scoring was a risky bet that blew up in the GM’s face.

But he refuses to own it and instead offloads responsibility onto tax brackets and arboreal variations on the continent. And our dipshit absentee owner likely concurs with his BS.
