Need cap space for what? The difference between 30-50% is like 1.5m. That’s a negligible difference for the Flyers immediate goals.

For STL, Hayes would make sense at 50% or if we are swapping unsavory contracts (Krug for Hayes). I just don't see an actual outcome where the Blues can take the entire brunt of that 7mil contract with their current cap struggles.

(Responding to multiple players' suggestion of Krug) In what way would taking Krug's contract back be beneficial for the Flyers? It is only $600,000 less and the Flyers would be stuck with $6.5 million for an additional year. Are the Blues sending a 1st+?
