"that chick from Ohio"
The same thing that has always been the issue with him - lack of consistency, particularly in his own zone. When did the shine wear off of Roslovic? I know he started out amazing with CBJ - what happened?

Most of us Jackets fans want Jiricek stapled with Svozil in the AHL next season munching 1st pairing minutes. And then have at least Jiricek make the transition to top 4 NHL D the following season. They currently have the following players on defense:
Werenski - 9.5 million
Severson - 6.25 million
Provorov - 4.725 million
Gudbranson - 4 million
Peeke - 2.75 million
Boqvist - 2.6 million
Bean - 2.33 million
Jiricek should absolutely be on their opening night roster and they have other talented young D pushing for spots. I would imagine they will try to move at least one of if not two of Gudbranson/ Peeke/Bean to free up cap space and make other moves.
think he would be good fit in chicago to buffer bedardROR, that's who I want Columbus to get. He'd be perfect for them.
only three more years seems pretty palatable IMO. If Briere does not get any decent offers best to keep himWhoever gets Hayes will be happy with him I'm sure
He isn't bad at all. It's just his contract, but that will end soon enough.
He might be too good for that. You can definitely overcook in the AHL.Most of us Jackets fans want Jiricek stapled with Svozil in the AHL next season munching 1st pairing minutes.
Possibly, but that'll be determined during training camp.He might be too good for that. You can definitely overcook in the AHL.

Nah... you could still move him with a firstThanks to Trotz giving away Johansen for nothing the idea of Hayes returning the Flyers a late first round pick at 50% retention is nothing more than a broken pipe dream. I would also say it's massively unlikely that they get a 2nd. Hayes is coming off of a good year and Johansen was bad and hurt so maybe he has more value but at this point a 3rd or 4th is probably the absolute best Briere could do. Thanks a lot no neck.
It’s the risk of waiting. Maybe with Laughton but I would disagree on Konecny. Just because you rebuild doesn't mean you trade everyone immediately. I would only trade Konecny right now for an offer I couldn't refuse. If Briere really was offered a late first and future 2nd for Laughton and there isn't a better offer by Wednesday night I would take that and move on.It’s the risk of waiting. It’s why I’m worried about Briere holding out on Laughton and TK deals (assuming the rumored offers are true) to just ‘squeeze’ an extra pick or two.
Not Barry the fatty´s fault that Hayes is trash. Thanks to Trotz giving away Johansen for nothing the idea of Hayes returning the Flyers a late first round pick at 50% retention is nothing more than a broken pipe dream. Hello hyperbole my old friend. Being overpaid is not being trash, it's just being overpaid. Not Barry the fatty´s fault that Hayes is trash.
No kidding. Fat boy trotz just killed the Hayes marketThanks to Trotz giving away Johansen for nothing the idea of Hayes returning the Flyers a late first round pick at 50% retention is nothing more than a broken pipe dream. Maybe, but at 50% retained or only a 3.5 million aav, we have seen far worse players go for a first and even more than a first.Hayes getting a first was always a pipe dream.

Blind squirrels and acorns and all that. Hell, even Eklund got lucky enough for some people to consider him an insider.Has the fourth period ever actually broke anything?
Hayes is a 50 point center and if the Flyers retain 50% and get him down to 3.5 million he is not only valuable but a bargain compared to what players will get on July 1 in a weak UFA crop of centers.that wasn’t going to happen.
not many teams had the cap space nd needs were not for him
colorado was one of the few teams who had some interest but the ask was too high.
if Toronto was to trade Matthews they could look at Hayes as a 2C
thr other option to max return would be if flyers and another rebuilding team like Anaheim agreed to retain on each others players to get max return. He passes thru Anaheim down to say $2M per opens things up.
