That drop pass in the playoffs is burned in memory every time he touches the puck.
One could say …..shoeless …Kerfoot is useless.
Like what exactly?Kerfoot is one of the softest players in the league. I’m worried about him going up against Tampa again. He’s going to do something stupid again.

Did you know that Kerfoot is better than Kadri?
The guy somehow threw up 51 points last year yet Dubas still kept him instead of maximizing value. God did that piss me off. For all the BS about "asset management" that gets spouted they sure don't seem to practice it much.
If we're lucky he'll go the way of Galchenyuk and Dermott after they f***ed us in the playoffs, gone before the end of the next season.
I can understand why we got Jarnkrok. What I don't understand is why Dubas gave a player like that (who is 31 now) a 4 year M-NTC contract. I also don't understand why Kerfoot is still here.
Dude has lit assets on fire.
It's a joke at this point. We paid a third for big save Dave
Luckily he's out of contract this year
He should stop doing Charmin commercials then. The one thing Kerfoot isn't is soft.
The leafs coach the stupid drop pass.. Galchenyuk, Kerfoot and Marner all have made brutal turnovers in the playoffs. Leafs put all their offense into the top 6...look at statistics under keefe. Generally year after year the bottom 6 produce the amount of points Kerfoot is pacing. That drop pass in the playoffs is burned in memory every time he touches the puck.
Yeah I would tend to agree with this. Anyway, I'm not really too worried about Kerfoot, he was good in the playoffs, hopefully he will be again and that's what really matters. The leafs coach the stupid drop pass.. Kerfoot is one of the very few leaf players in the playoffs who compete hard and show grit. He was very good vs Montreal. He's not the problem.

He's been absolutely brutal since the covid shortened temporary division realignment year. I don't know how Sheldon doesn't see it.What can I say? I'm seeing a lot of 0's beside his name lately. Yeah he got an assist last night, but Holy God. He's a really bad player supporting a contract that doesn't jive with his production. Lately he's been the guy missing his coverage, taking dumb penalties, and doing things like chasing after his stick outside blue line on a penalty kill.
Do you think Dubas will finally move him at the TDL to balance out the salary cap?
I nervous about the playoffs, but I'm more nervous if Kerfoot remains on the team in a significant roll. He just doesn't have the discipline to help TOR win a playoff series or go beyond.
The worst part of this is he has gained the line!Kerfoot is one of the softest players in the league. I’m worried about him going up against Tampa again. He’s going to do something stupid again.![]()
Pretty good explanation. It seems to me that when Kerfoot skates north, he somehow forgets around mid ice why he was skating so hard and detours somewhere away from the net.Kerfoot is a very unique player for possessing a lot of really excellent traits but somehow the whole is way less than the sum of its parts.
Great skater, agile edgework, underrated speed. Handles a puck like a dream practice player in open ice transition. Can make crafty area plays, excellent active stick, can be greasy in traffic when he wants to be and will play feistier than his size. Not a high vision guy but heads up. Not a good arsenal of shots and finishing ability. But you put it all together and it often just... sucks.
Exactly, he just doesn't fit the current composition of the club. For a team as cap strapped as us, his 3.5 can be better used to add dimensions we lackLast year he was bad in the playoffs, but was surprisingly strong in the first two years with the team.
That being said I think I would be better on the face-off than him, and he brings more of the same elements as the core does but just not as good. He's best suited as a winger.
So while I have nothing against him as a player, his fit on the team just isn't there.
I'd like an upgrade.
Need to get another player named Kerfoot and he would be fine. There's nothing wrong with Kerfoot as a player he just needs to go to change up the chemistry
