If you're concerned about Chytil's development as a 2C, then Panarin is who you want on his side. Not Kreider.

Agreed. The last thing you want is Chytil to get back to the bench and watch Kreider watch a replay of his last shift skating around the circles on his iPad.
I’d push Chytil in between Panarin and Kakko and put Zib between Buchnevich and Kravtsov. Having a 3rd line of Andersson-Howden-Lemiuex and whoever isn’t dealt skates on the 4th... Nieves-Strome-Fast

I am in the minority that wants him to stay. I think he still has a lot to give, and will be hard to replace. Will be upset if he is gone, But after what happened to me here 5 years ago, I won't put a player before a team anymore. If he moves on, so be it, nothing else can be done. After Panarin signed, I knew Kreider's time with the Rangers would be over, but still holding out a little hope. If the Rangers really want to keep him, they will find a way, but it also means he needs to be on the same page, and take a discount as well.

I think everyone would want him to stay but would you give him Kevin Hayes contract to keep him is the question? I wouldnt give it to Hayes and I wouldnt give it to Kreider either. This is Kreider's time to cash in, it wont happen here.

This is the truth. The player’s age and timing of a new contract is just bad timing with the Rangers current direction. He should be looking for his payday since this will be his big contract. Won’t have the opportunity again.

I'd give Kreider a 2M raise (6.7M) for 5-6 years. Anything more and it's going to have to be a no. Don't get me wrong, the day Chris Kreider is no longer a Ranger, I will shed tears. He was the first Rangers prospect I fell in love with and as all the other great Rangers from this decade that left here empty-handed, he won't deserve his fate. But I'll wish him the best of luck.

Interesting. May I suggest adopting a more "hard to get" mentality?

I never forgot this comment. My boy is turning out to be an all-time Ranger great. Glad I was right. **** you, BRB. Sorry.

Better chance than not that #20 is in the rafters in 10-15 years.
Cup or no I think #20 is a shoe in. If he averages 20 goals a season over the rest of his contract he'll be #2 all-time in goals scored with the rangers. I don't think he'll finish lower than #3.

Adam Graves is considered one pretty unanimously.

Kreider is Graves reincarnated. They've had the same career except Kreider (hopefully) looks like he'll last a bit longer.
That Stanley cup though...those 4 players were complete monsters for us when we won. Plus Graves brought more on the ice other than just goal-scoring.

20 & 93 will be close to locks for # retirement by the end of their careers. If we get a Cup soon it would remove all doubt, and strengthen the resumes of Igor/Fox/Panarin to get the same one day

How many numbers are we retiring?

Some of these people won't be getting their number retired. Igor and Fox will likely be the only 2, esp if we don't win a cup.

Assuming Kreider finishes out his contract without a long term injury he'll be one of 4 rangers to play 1,000 games with the team. Outside a ring I think it's hard to come up with parameters for a player to get their number retired that Kreider doesn't satisfy.

I'd be pretty shocked if we don't look to move his contract in the summer of 24. We are going to need money and full his NTC goes to only 15 teams.

Mika only needs to average 28 goals a season through the life of his current contract to have the most goals in Rangers history and Kreider will most likely be #2 by the end of his contract. Regardless of Cup wins, both guys will have theirs in the rafters.

Mika would be a fine choice too.

I have a special appreciation for acquisitions that were good here. Guys that embraced being Rangers and were elevated by being Rangers. Brassard before him was of that ilk, although obviously doesn't have the same resume. Brian Boyle is another one. Those guys will always be special to me.

35 goals this season, and counting. Only 8 via PP (all he does is stand in front of the net, lol) and 4 short handed. Will end his career as the franchise's 2nd all-time leading goal scorer, at least, 1st in playoff goals, and probably over 1000 games played. Certain guys play well into their 30s, he's going to be one of them.

Hate to break it to the haters, but he's here for life. Him and Mika joined at the hip for all of eternity. Buy you guys a beer at the retirement ceremony.
