Yup, we're one large fanbase where everyone is 100% in agreement at all times.
It's pretty rare to see Habs fans disagree on the main boards. Even here you don't reply to the Habs fan to disagree.

If you want to act like you have your own unique opinion it might help by setting yourself apart from some of the more outlandish takes rather than just complaing about those who point them out.

My opinion is at post #27. But don't waste your time replying, you're on my ignore list.

Or Kaiden Guhle on MTL which is what an actual promising young dman in a bad situation looks like.

But yeah, the claim that I ride for the rangers is insane. Kakko is a decent winger who probably still has some upside, but at the very least is an effective NHL player who can help a team win. Struble is not that, and is no different than whatever 1-3 depth D prospects every single team has in their system and every fanbase is convinced is "not a top pair dman but can definitely be solid". The only difference is he's gotten playing time due how awful MTL has been defensively and they'll throw just about anything out there.

Y'know, a Nikita Okhotiuk type (thrown out as an example that both our teams have seen) that tends to be moved out right before they lose their waiver exemptions.
Tonights game highlights why the Habs need Struble. Struble is good defensively and will take out the garbage like Greig. Can't afford to lose one of the few players with guts on the team.

Is Kakko a guy the Habs would want?

Not really but he'd be a reclamation project

I love Struble, he's a gamer for sure, but we're loaded up the ass with dmen

On the left side we already have Xhekaj, Matheson, Hutson and Guhle, who is a natural LHD

So everyone but Habs fans are saying that this is a “no” from the Rangers, and we’ve devolved into bashing the guy the Habs fan asked to trade for.

Is this Kakko or Laf? We’ve seen this more than a few times already.
The consensus from Habs fans is that we have no interest in Kakko. Apparently, that makes you all mad for some reason. No one cares if Rangers fans say no, but when you all start ranting about how insulting it is for a single Habs fan to dare make a proposal for your 19 point Selke calibre franchise player and start bashing our players, you’re going to get the same kind of craziness in return. Don’t dish it if you can’t take it.

The consensus from Ranger fans (and pretty much everybody else) is that the offer was terrible. Hell even Devils fans were saying it. Don't want to get laughed at? Don't make bad offers and try to defend them as anything else.

It wasn’t terrible because Kakko isn’t worth shit to any team except NYR, and even then, his only value is that he was picked 2nd overall and “maybe he puts it all together some day”. He’s a bottom-six plug barely above waiver fodder in real value. There’s no such thing as a terrible offer for such a player. He’s a worse player than Kotkaniemi who’s a laughing stock.

You have some real nerve.

Consider the sequence of events.

This thread was started by a HABS fan, not a Ranger fan, trying to sell your spare parts to us for Kakko. There is literally no incentive for us to concoct a trade of Kakko to the Habs of all teams because we have some true attachment to your spare parts over those of every other team in the league.

If you didn't like the counter of our fanbase for what it'd take to trade him to the Habs, you could've just said in a nice way that there's no trade to be made. Instead, you have come in here with a nasty attitude to badmouth the player that one of your fans asked us for because we had the nerve to believe that trades are bilateral, not unilateral, and both teams with something of value to exchange have a say in what constitutes the deal.

Why don't you take your nasty attitude out on your own fan as opposed to trying to take it out on the player your fanbase asked for or the fanbase that dared to ask to be compensated in a way that benefits them?

Kakko is spare parts himself. We don’t want him regardless of the OP. You can continue to act outraged if it makes you feel better about your team having wasted a 2nd overall pick on a replacement level player.

"We don't want him regardless of the OP" is an oxymoron.

I guess if you don’t have the sense to understand that the OP and general consensus among the fanbase are two different things, sure. He’s a 19 point bottom-six player; get off the BS.

Rather keep the depth on D & Kakko is not a solution for the Habs. Just another high pick from the Rangers that is not that good... L Andersson, Kravtsov, Kakko.
