Kapanen left as he arrived, by the Pens ripping themselves off.
Clearly a case of piss poor asset management. They sold at the lowest point they could. And they got what they deserve, nothing.Kapanen isn't a major loss, but I don't get why they couldn't have traded him for something. A 3rd, 4th. Something.
No WaWa either. They don't even have GetGo in St Louis this is a tragedy
Yep go KapKap wasn’t the problem.....Sully is.
GO Kap!
The rest of the forwards get away with stopping at the blueline and chucking no look backhand passes to no one across the middle, and no Sully asks THEM to change their game...I don't know why it was so difficult for Kapanen to adjust his game. Seriously, instead of going full speed into the offensive zone and then curling back and looking for a trailing defender, all he had to do was just keep going to the net. I feel like he scored at least 5 goals his first season after the trade doing that.
Thank goodness our long national nightmare is over.
edit, and make no mistake, being rid of Kapanen makes the Pens a better team on the ice, irrespective of cap hit. It doesn't make them good, but it makes them better.
Why they may get Chychrun..waiting game..19 and a half million in potential cap space in free agency to play with (assuming they dont resign Jarry) if my quick math is accurate.
8.5 million dollar speed, 3 dollar brain, -0 cent toolbox.Kapanen has amazing skating abilities and you would think this kid is gonna put up over 30 plus goals.... just does not understand how to time it all together..
Absolutely he will be putting up 25 goals next year.Kap wasn’t the problem.....Sully is.
GO Kap!
How?Thank goodness our long national nightmare is over.
