Now that's just going too far lol
It's a question of paying respect where it's due. He gave CHI fans 3 cups in 5 years. What more could I possibly demand of him? He lived up to his end of the expectations, and was rewarded with a contract. I have ZERO ill will toward him. He gave me memories that 99% of TML fans will never even sniff in their lifetime. I feel like all sides are whole, and I can only thank him for upholding his end of the bargain. As gratitude, I'll cheer him on for the rest of his career. (Unless he backstabs everyone and signs with STL, in which case I'll burn all of my Kane jerseys in vomiting disgust).

There are plenty of websites where you can design your own bumper sticker.

They made us wear vaccination badges at work when the COVID shutdown ended, I designed and custom ordered badges with the pirate guinea pig from South Park and handed them out, lol.

If you want to go cheap, do a 3" circular sticker with "Patrick Kane" on top of a Wings logo.
That's basically what I'm going for, I want maximum effect here.

1) I must have missed why some folks hate Kane so much.
2) Nothing on the signing anywhere on the NHL.com front page. Odd given the splash elsewhere.

Welp, might as well go for playoffs now.
With DeBrincat and now Kane - yeah it's more or less playoffs or bust.

I for one wouldn't be surprised if Yzerman makes another deal, or two...Reimer and 'player X', and possibly some random future draft pick for RNH? Just throwing that out there...

Capfriendly has status as "registration pending". My new guess given Lalonde's comment about "hurdles" is that the contract is contingent on Kane passing a physical, probably by the team's orthopedic specialist.

Burger brought up because Larkin is out, contract doesn't get finalized until Larkin returns and Burger is sent back down.

I think this shows how much deeply underrated depth is.
Exactly, and to but it blunt Wings had seasons where there wasn't even a NHL caliber player on every roster spot. Now They get first Cat and now a future hall of famer Kane to sign, we are back in business boys!

Also i have to say i love what a finnish broadcaster said Lidström told him when they were talking in Stockholm during the Global Series; "This is only the start of Yzerman's plan, we are no where near where we want to be."*

*That quote is not exact, but the message was something like that what Lidström gave the dude. If this is the start, im liking what im seeing.

Maybe it's because I'm much older now but I had a lot more anger for Chelios coming to Detroit.

Kane was a super douche his first handful of years in the league but seemed to have settled down. The last really stupid thing I can think of him doing was his comments on the Kyle Beach thing and if memory serves they weren't nearly as stupid as Toews.

Anyway, I had a lot more dislike for guys like Tootoo and Bertuzzi wearing the Winged Wheel. This one could be fun just for what it does to Hawks fans.
This signing feels significant in regards to a signaling of the future of Wings as a destination again. It may not work out, but god damn does it feel good to sign a top FA again.

Even if it doesn't work out, it's just fun to get a name player during the early part of the season since no one trades anymore.

Well... waking up to this was nice, been expecting it most of the year til talks of Buffalo started coming out recently.

well that just ruins the speculation dream of a trade coming....thanks a lot man

I’ve been vocal against this signing mostly predicated on the fact that this surgery has proven to be a major career ender (I had high hopes that Backstorm would break the mold given he was such an intelligent impact passer), but now that Kane is here, I’ll be rooting for him and hoping that he makes his recovery and helps this team. Go Wings, here’s hoping I was wrong!

What's that wrestling meme that's been used the past few months where two guys that hate each other suddenly get attacked by a 3rd party and so they unify to beat up on said 3rd party?
