What would it take to resign him for like 2 more seasons. I like to see him playing with kids
I'm sure theres a handshake deal or framework already in place for an extension. What would it take to resign him for like 2 more seasons. I like to see him playing with kids
Realistically 2x5What would it take to resign him for like 2 more seasons. I like to see him playing with kids
35+ contract on a multi year means a players cap hit is full no matter if they retire or get shipped to the AHL.I'm sure theres a handshake deal or framework already in place for an extension.
My guess is its probably 2x 3.5-4mil
Would be a 35+ contract, not sure what the considerations are for that off the top of my head.
If he quits hockey, it's because of health, and that means LTIR.35+ contract on a multi year means a players cap hit is full no matter if they retire or get shipped to the AHL.
You can’t LTIR a 35+ contractIf he quits hockey, it's because of health, and that means LTIR.
Sure you can.You can’t LTIR a 35+ contract
Yeah, you can. I think you're confusing 35+ contracts still counting against the cap if the player retires. You can’t LTIR a 35+ contract
HopefullyHe left the game early today, but it didn't look too serious. He's walking on both legs, and not favoring one side or the other too much. Probably precautionary, I expect him to be day to day.
Red Wings' Kane exits game vs. Maple Leafs with lower-body injury
Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Kane exited Sunday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs early in the first period with a lower-body injury.www.sportsnet.ca
Didn't look too bad. He skated off the ice normally. Could be precautionary that he sat the rest of the game. It's not hip related according to LalondeHow bad is his injury?
Kane contract isn't +35 contract.You can’t LTIR a 35+ contract
I certainly don’t want to be that guy, but if Kane is out long term - does Yzerman make a move to replace his offense?
Glad to hear that. I hope Kane’s ok.Didn't look too bad. He skated off the ice normally. Could be precautionary that he sat the rest of the game. It's not hip related according to Lalonde
After watching the replay it looks like Holmberg intentionally kicks Kanes feet from under him. Yeah they're both going to the net and Holmberg puts on the brakes to slow down but man... it just looks like he stretches out his legs with the intent to kick Kanes feet from underneath him.
this is the kind of research we have been missing around here!He was there before Kane. He made the move to turn away from the net to avoid the goalie while swatting at the puck.

I think he's more focused on the puck than Kane. Look at where the puck is the moment they touch skates. Scoring is more important than tripping Kane, lol.

lalonde just said that he will most likely stay with line 1 and 4 together (copp line and larkin line) because they have found chemistry well. so they are inserting kostin in for tomorrows game and he is either going to be on the 2nd line or 3rd line.Well, shit.
Hoping we see
DeBrincat - Larkin - Raymond
Fabbri - Compher - Sprong
Berggren - Veleno - Perron
Rasmussen - Copp - Fischer
for the next two games. And hoping for a speedy recovery for Kane. (I never thought I'd ever say that.)
