It’s a rebuild.
Earlier Thursday, Hamburg Police would not confirm for The News or ESPN whether an investigation of any kind is taking place. The NHL said Thursday that it is aware of Kane's circumstances, according to multiple media reports.

"I can't even confirm that there is an incident," Hamburg Police Chief Gregory G. Wickett told ESPN. "We're not confirming or denying that there is an investigation with Mr. Kane."

ESPN is making some very serious insinuations. Yes, insinuations, not accusations, but people believe what they want to believe.

Kane really needs to get his drinking in check, no matter what the end result is here. He's put himself in some bad situations in his time as a Hawk that he likely wouldn't find himself in were he sober.

#Blackhawks say: "We are aware of the matter and are in the process of gathering information. It would be inappropriate to comment further"

That's an official team statement, responding to a request for comment on the Patrick Kane report.

I wonder how far into the season this'll get dragged on for. I think it's safe to say we probably won't see Kane on opening night regardless.

Why do we have to be so kindergarten about all this? Why can't people come on here and air their concerns and opinions in regards to this news? This is a real story with real sources? It appears Kane has gotten himself in a situation and this is one of the only places for Hawks fans to discuss it. Why would you lock this thread?

I've already seen plenty of kindergarten worthy posts in his thread. It's almost entirely speculation. To each their own I suppose but I don't see the appeal on discussing something this serious that we know so little about.

I love women, but there are plenty of them out there that would love to take advantage of a situation like that. ($$$$$$$$$)

Doesn't even have to be about $$$...I know quite a few women who are pretty shady when it comes to virtue. Nothing wrong with skepticism.

Nah, I don't. Pretty much everyone I have talked to outside of this message board has the same thought. A chick trying to take advantage of a rich star. Even those who hate Kane.

If you and your misogynistic friends think it, it must be true.

True.
The ONLY reason I am skeptical of this is because the amount of money involved, and how big of a star Kane is.

If it were an average person that had these claims made against them, I wouldn't be as skeptical as I am with this.

My wife thought the same thing, as did the 2 other girls I talked to.\
And i fail to see where I said it is fact/true. Speculation on my part.
Is it a crime to speculate what I think might have happened?

When it comes to professional athletes its guilty until proven innocent, and even then you are thought of as guilty (unless you are a diehard Kane and Hawks fan). If he comes out of this innocent many people will say the woman was bought off. Even if no charges are filed he will have an ugly stain follow him the rest of his life just because of being accused. Plain and simple you cannot put yourself in the position for something like this to happen.

He thought he was being funny when he said watch out for me the next week when commenting on growing up. No one is laughing at that one now...

Well that settles it then!

"Hey I don't know what happened but I know what I think might have happened and I'm going to tell everyone regardless of how ignorant it is!"

I'm outta here. I'll stick to the news.

This x1000

Kane learned a very hard lesson if the allegations are not true. I'm sure it's hard for athletes like him though. Turning down beautiful women that are throwing themselves at you would probably be very difficult, but when you are that big, you have to do it.
