It is hockey and it is a contact sport played best with emotion and it is a shame that you cannot figure that out. If you can't get the noggin wrapped around it then get yourself a club and go 10 Pinning and talk about the alley excitement in your new group. . 18000 fans standing and cheering during a Rempe fight can't be wrong ?

Yes, they can fans are stupid. Rangers fans think Lindgren is better at defense than Fox. And you value toughness over actually being able to play the game. I don't give a f*** how many people you hit if you can't play the sport. All I know is when Miller is out there the team plays a lot better. Your fragile ego can't handle a 6'5 guy that isn't Scott Stevens. That's a YOU problem, not a K'Andre Miller problem. You'd rather the team lead the league in fights and hits and suck. Once again, your time is done. The sport has passed you by.

Lindgren plays with emotion, Trouba plays with emotion. So did Tanner Glass, Darrol Powe, and Trevor Gillies. Know what else they have in common, besides playing with emotion?

They all suck ass at playing hockey. Playing with emotion =/= being any good at playing hockey

LOL. I've f***ing heard it all now. Miller is the worst D-man on the team because:

1) His head is not in the game because he dyed his hair blonde.
2) He's only good in practice.
3) He's Brady Skjei 2.0, and this is a bad thing.
4) He's a PMD that would rather use his poke reach rather than chase hits.
5) He doesn't fight like Rempe and make the crowd cheer.
6) He's emotionless.

LMFAO.

Tell me then. What is the dollar figure and the term you are okay with on his next deal? What's he worth?

I think the highest I'd go with him is 8y x 6m

I'd like it if he took less, but I'm not going short term with him. 7/8 years is what I'd want.

He's got flaws, but there are like 10 defenseman in the NHL that don't have flaws.
He also has tools that are elite, and when he's using the correctly (which happens more and more often every year), then he's one of the best defensive defenseman in the game.

Yawn....Messier and Crosby Tkachuk......you forgot them off your list ...a couple of emotional guys out there . Maybe you missed a few games ? Playing with emotion does not mean fighting.....but you know that .

I take it "playing with emotion =/= being any good at playing hockey" was a bit beyond you. I'll simplify it next time for you

Miler certainly has his flaws but at the end of the day he and Fox have gotten great results together and he’s much more capable of playing at a high level than Lindgren ever will be. I’ll live with the boneheaded mistakes if he’s on a pair that is above 60% xG over a longer period of time. Hopefully Laviolette goes back to miller-Fox otherwise he’s a moron.

No one says playing with emotion is bad. It's just far down the list of reasons why players succeed. Messier, Crosby, and Tkachuk are all good because they're good and their emotions and competitiveness are a secondary albeit important trait. The problem is fans like you don't understand that playing with emotion and being tough are good when you are already good and not on their own when you're bad.

A guy that makes visually noticeable mistakes versus a guy that literally can't make mistakes because he hasn't touched the puck in 23 minutes.

Easy choice, and the Rangers keep choosing the wrong one.

He's literally Brady Skjei 2.0 and thats not the best case but its also not a bad thing. They need an upgrade or 2 on the left size but Lindgren is a far more useless player than Miller or Jones.

I still say Miller is capable of so much more. But the coaches keep holding him back by putting him with partners that are the alpha dog. He's never going to get out from under that shadow playing with Fox or Trouba. It's like a intelligent kid in school who gets bored before someone realizes he should be a few grades ahead. Miller needs to lead his own pair. Put him with Schneider. He started to blossom there when Trouba was out last year. I agree with those on here that say he isn't improving. Force him to improve. Get him away from his security blankets.
