Still think he's been more good than bad but that was a burn the tape game for sure lmao
I mean aside from the 3rd line the entire team was bad.

If you told me half the team had the flu i'd have believed it.

What do you guys see in this player?
Hi athletic profile is very good, and when he can just defend on instinct he's fine. He's also pretty good in the O-zone.
the flip side is that he has no head for the game, so his positioning can be off and if you make him have to think about how he's reacting then he gets lost.
He's a bottom 3 guy who will stay in the league for a long time because his physical attributes are good enough that he's never completely out of the play, but he'll keep leaving teams (and fans) wanting more.
Someone will also overpay him

I don’t see the “good in the ozone”. Tons of bad pinching. Not a good shot, not a good passer. Physically, he is skates “smooth” and is tall yet the weakest nhl player I have ever seen.

He's been cheating too much on his positioning. Something that Schneider rarely does and Mancini early in his career doesn't do as much. Not sure that he pairs up with Fox as effectively as he does with others including Trouba or maybe Fox and K'Andre still need to work some issues out. It is early in the year and the transition.

Miller seems, and I say seems because we don't really know what these players are going through, but he seems more focused on things outside of hockey, like his model girlfriend and dying his hair blonde. Guy said his idol growing up was Odell Beckham Jr. Not exactly the best role model.

I'm not really sure what else you can really say about this guy, he is an enigma, an uber-talented player but just lacks the drive and focus to really get better. Seems like he'll figure it out elsewhere a la JT Miller. Hopefully not, I haven't given up on him like some may have but at the NHL level, the difference in these players is usually work ethic.

He makes his partner look like shit bc he is so bad at positioning and defense- first Troubs now Fox.

No thanks…

He is the Mika of defense. Babyshit soft.

Looks gross.

Literally no better from year 1 until today.

I don’t think he has a ton of skill though- that is a farce to me.

That's fair enough; but the question was what do others see, and I see a guy who can move the puck effectively around in the o-zone (which is why 'good' and not higher praise) most of the time

Miller-Fox are #4 in the entire NHL in xGF % and #1 in xGF per 60. But of course Lavi will go back to Lindgren-Fox because Lindgren is a warrior or something.

Schneider-Trouba btw was 6th in xGF per 60 and that idiot already separated them for no f***ing reason.

No one gives a shit about stats though. He needs to clean up his blue line work and his giveaway last night was absolute ass, but according to some people, Key is the one and only hole in our defense and if we got rid of him, it fixes EVERYTHING.

People, especially on social media cannot stand a guy that doesn't play like Scott Stevens who is big. Their ego lies in following a sport that they live vicariously through. A sport of tough warriors that hit everything in sight and fight. all the time. Good hockey players be damned. Good hockey play be damned. And then there are people that can't get over Miller's turnovers.

Here's the thing if we never played Lindgren-Fox or if they were good last year I'd say maybe it's worth putting them together. But we were TERRIBLE 5 on 5 last year for a top team and our PP has gotten worse. And a lot of that was Lindgren playing with Fox. We made very few personnel changes and people want to just run back the same pairings.
