Simple question fellas. Though it's somewhat debatable, seems very likely Shero no matter how the Worlds end up turning out, he will select Hughes. But and obviously this is hypothetical, had the Rangers and not the Devils had the 1st overall pick coming up this summer, all things being equal, who do you think Gorton and Rangers take at the draft as the #1 overall....Kakko or Hughes.

? Are you familiar with the game Farmville? It's not an advanced concept. They've spent so much time on thinking about Hughes and scouting him and growing attached to him it'll take quite a bit to switch, much more than just going 50.1-49.9. You don't need to be a psychologist to understand how the human mind works on a basic level. The fear of the feeling of "loss" is very great. Hence people commit to things even when it's not logically sound, like the opposite of counting pot odds in poker, where you accept that whatever you've spent is down the drain that you'll never get back, no matter your choice. That's just my guess, that Kakko would need to be way ahead for them to actually go with him. Due to commitment to Hughes.

So you have one guy’s list? what scout rankings does he contribute to? Where are they published and who are they used by?

The only single person whos rankings are legitimate based on history is McKenzie. Otherwise its organizations and group lists. Even Button’s lists fold like cheap tents and he has Hughes 1.
