Hes actually 5 points ahead at 5v5. ES counts easy gimme points on 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 .Guhle is only 4 pts behind Matheson at even strength

What if he was a right handed shot playing the right side?Playing on his off side doesn't help either
I can't recall a single incident. unless you mean him being weak on his skates and getting high sticked in the face and reacting appropriately....
Anyway, Guhle is weak af and he better hit the gym or else he's going to be a better version of Kulak. I love his talent but he can't run around and think he's Weber like he did in Jr. Big hits are completely absent from his game, unless he's taking one.
He has thrown plenty of good hits this season and calling him "weak af" is a gross exaggeration. He absolutely needs to get a little stronger and put on little weight in order to better execute the style of game that he plays. Guhle was never going to be a punishing defender who terrorizes his opponents with spine crunching, devaststing hits. He is a two way PMD who can handle the rough stuff should excel against the leagues top players in the prime of his career.
That goes against his draft profile a bit, but I do agree he's more about mobility and breaking up plays with his smarts. But he is not having success being that physical D. I don't need him to be a monster out there but he's had some tough shifts because he's been too weak to play the way he wants. He has thrown plenty of good hits this season and calling him "weak af" is a gross exaggeration. He's more Ryan Suter than he is Shea Weber and I'm ok with it.I completely agree that he does need to at the very least gain a little mass and strength but he can more than hold his own with your average forward. I think he will quite easily gain 5-10 lbs over the next couple of years and just a little more strength that naturally comes when guys his age turn into men after 25 will be sufficient. He was just misrepresented by some in the media/fake scouting industry as a punishing, stay at home dman which he definitely is not and will never be. He will be physical relative to other PMD's but he will not be a killer.
This is very important for me as well.Just get through the season safe and sound big guy and put on big time muscle in the offseason. If that happens we’re golden
Agreed all around but I'm just saying that even if he's playing that more modern style he needs some further bulk and while he's young he's got a lot of work to get thereI completely agree that he does need to at the very least gain a little mass and strength but he can more than hold his own with your average forward. Now we just have to decide if we want him to hang with David Savard over the summer or go home with Reinbacher for some home cooking.
We are at the same place we were last season with him at this time we want to send him off somewhere to put some meat on his bones.
Josh Gorges? Come on.Looks who’s talking about clown takes. The clown himself lol
He’s more like Josh Gorges out ther than anything else when it comes to the physixal play. Getting drilled hard 2-3 times each games with little-to-no response. He needs a bulk regime asap or he won’t have a long career.
Josh Gorges? Come on.
He’s a really young blueliner playing on the first line and doing very well considering the fact that he’s got a mediocre partner to rely on.
Nobody disagrees he needs to add weight over the summer. I’m sure it’s in the to do list. But don’t lose site of what he’s doing and how young he is.
He dishes it out too. It’s not like he’s a small punching bag. This guy has a lot of jam in his game.Everything in his game beside his physical play is terrific. But whe it comes to the physical play, he’s getting drilled almost as much as Josh Gorges was getting drilled. Last game before his suspension Konecky killed him in the corner. He needs to bulk big time! But beside that, he’s terrific young dman.
I hope he just continues to fill out as he ages. He has a slim frame and putting too much on it in a short period of time will just hurt his game imo.Just get through the season safe and sound big guy and put on big time muscle in the offseason. If that happens we’re golden
If Guhle can add 7-10 pounds of muscle and strength without losing his elite skating abilities he will be a legitimate star for this team, an untouchable. He's probably the 3rd or 4th fastest defender in the league, I don't really care for him to become Weber. Hes naturally going to get stronger but Im not sure he should aim to gain much weight, we don't want to see a Subban 2.0.
So 6'2" would be 209?At 6'3, you need to be at least 215+ pounds.

They just added too much weight, too fast. They didn't add 15-20 pounds of muscle in a matter of 1-2 years on their small frames, they added 5-6 lbs of muscle and the rest was fat. Subban was one of the fastest skater in the league in 2013-2014, in 2015 he couldn't keep up anymore.I'm not sure what happened with Subban. But I suspect injuries from the type of weight lifting he was doing ended up slowing him down.
Like Gallagher, he initially got faster from the added muscle which increased his explosiveness. In fact in both the Gallagher and Subban cases I'm not sure whether the added muscle, or type of muscle they added, slowed them down at about 30 years old, or if it was the accumulated injuries, or some combination of the two.
Getting stronger and heavier is one thing. But it won't do much if he can't protect himself better from forwards just finishing their checks. He doesn't roll with the hits or brace himself, it's like he's got no awareness he's about to get hit.
Whatever they worked on with Slaf for this, they need to do with Guhle.
Goolz is 6'03
Just a bit shorter than X who's 6'04 and Slaf who's like 6'03 3/4.
