Yeah I remember we talked about this more than once over the past season. He may be one of those guys that takes a few years to reach his prime physical form. If anything I would suggest a change of style would be more beneficial for him long term. His best play for me was always about breaking up plays and moving pucks the other way. He needs to be tough to play against as opposed to being tough. That is and should be his game.
He has all the tools to play like Markov, as far as I'm concerned, plus speed and physicality.

I hope he chooses to tone down the physicality.

That ****-off backhand pass across the NZ to Suzuki that became Guhle's first career assist. That's the shit I'm here for
Bigtime
We were down 2-0 to start the 3rd, and then Guhle did that
And because of the injuries and us starting 5 rookie D, Guhle started his first 15 NHL games as a LD#1
So he was on the ice with a couple minutes left when we pulled the goalie and he assisted on Caufields goal to send it to OT for Assist#2

Moneyhands to Dach for the OT winner :D

Hope we have way more of these this year lol

He eventually decided to go dressed as Woody from Toy Story. :)

Man it was good to see Ghule back on the ice doing Kaiden Ghule things. Do we have a better Dman at claiming ice before the play arrives in the neutral zone? I doubt it.
Too bad he gets hurt routinely. A truly exceptional young Dman who sadly will probably be injury prone.

He looks very legit. The real question is simply how good can he be. The floor looks like top 4 for sure, perhaps even top pair if he can be consistent. Considering that floor, I think I’d call him the top D asset in the organization.

I watch the Habs since 2001. I fully expect him to become the best dman I've seen. Only worried about him being injury prone though.
If you started watching the Habs at the end of the 2000-2001 season and went blind before the start of the 2001-2002 season, that's guaranteed.

I don’t know. Subban was something to behold. He wasn’t perfect but he was a terrific blueliner.

That being said, I’m excited about Guehle too. He seems pretty solid for a young blueliner.

He’s already better than a #4.

At this point, with all his attributes, I see a first pair defensemen.

I think there's little doubt first he's first pairing material. With guys like Slavin being among the top Ds without being a huge point producer.

He does make you wonder though if there's not another gear in his offensive game somewhere down the line.

I think there is. His offensive game is already better than I thought it would be, he's shown the ability to improve. He's going to be our top LD, and so play a lot of minutes in all situations. A lot of points will come from that alone.

He's not Makar, but don't be too surprised if he has a bunch of 40-50 point seasons in his career.
