Last year his xgf was poor. Low ga, but low gf.Kakko is the king of xGF. I feel like the at statistic really shouldn’t be taken into consideration for I’m anymore.

That call in the 3rd was the worst call ive seen in years. PL probably had a good laugh with KK after the game about it.
Trocheck does, every gamePlayed another very good game. His secondary assist was the best part of the goal. Imagine our 1C trying like that for one shift.
Yup.. we ALL know which is the 1st line.Trocheck does, every game
It is possible. Probably optimistic but possible. I like setting high goals though. No sense in KK hoping just to get back to 20-40. If KK hits 60 points this season we will be in pretty good shape!
With that said KK's last season's production was pretty bad so I'm just going to wait and see. I have hope but KK will have to show me on the ice.
Which has been the point I made all off season. Kakko has high end hands, good vision, and great puck possession. He needs someone to get into the zone or at least open the ice more so he can get in.I don't think his xGF has ever been that high. His xGF% has always been great, because other teams don't generate much when he's on the ice. It's been low-event hockey.
What we're seeing to start the season has only been low-event in one direction though. I think he needs an offensively aggressive, talented player like Chytil to help with getting into the zone with possession; but when he has that, they're an absolute menace together.
I’m not sure you’re arguing against me here?
I’m saying the metrics are saying that line is playing great, the eye test matches that.
There were 6 players last year who got 60 points at 5v5.How many players a year get 60 points without power play points?
Kakko has a near zero chance of 60 points without PP.
I mean that is what the data says, that his line outplays their matchups, significantly. almost 3:1.Sorry, when you said "that's not what the data says" I thought you were referring to his line outplaying their matchups
There were 6 players last year who got 60 points at 5v5.
Mackinnon at 79 (17.28 minutes at 5v5 per game)
Mcdavid at 73 (16.53 minutes at 5v5 per game)
Kucherov at 67 (16.47 minutes at 5v5 per game)
Matthews at 61 (15.80 minutes at 5v5 per game)
Panarin at 60 (15.63 minutes at 5v5 per game)
Pastrnak at 60 (15.10 minutes at 5v5 per game)
I didn’t say he would. Just showing the math on a few things. Now there's a group that Kakko will not be joining.
