11 Games to go till the Trade Deadline
Henrique seems to make a lot of sense on the Rangers but what would the cost be to get him? Was listening to NHL radio this past week. Said the Rangers likely won't move Kakko for a Rental. Also heard the report Dolan doesn't want Drury to move the 2024 1st. Can you get Henrique w/out moving Kakko or a 1st. With 2 rental players off the market already, both garnering 1st round selections in return what does that do for Henriques value? I think he is going to price out for what Drury is willing to spend. HATE the idea of a 1st or Kakko being moved for an expiring asset. Also would be concerned if the idea was to re sign him. Like the player, but he's 34. Would hate to see him reup, then fall off and its Goodrow all over again.
If...that is the case. what does the plan B, or C look like.
Wonder if Drury would be able to swing a deal for Yegor Sharongovich? Singed for another year after this season. Bumped up to CGY;s top line. Are they showcasing? He was a big part of the Devils success. Very versatile. Played pretty much every forward position. The Devils had a really strong coutner attack off the rush. I think he fit into that system really well. Seems like he had a really high hockey IQ. Had a really good shot, and a strong shooting percentage. The negatives were his facoffs, where he is terrible.
How much of an upgrade would Sharongovich be over Brodzinsky, and could Drury get him w/out coughing up Kakko? I think even if he moved the 2024 1st, kept Kakko and used maybe a Berard, or Jones in a return would that be enough to get him out of CGY?
Would be interesting to see what a line of Cuylle Sharongovich Kakko could do down the stretch into the playoffs.
