This is such a bullshit argument because you're basically saying we can never criticize anything an NHL head coach does unless we were an NHL head coach ourselves.
With that logic, what's the purpose of having HF Boards?
I would prefer Cassidy, I think that might be the perfect coach for us.
Apparently? Your argument is that it’s only to criticize, as if you can’t discuss hockey in any other manner. Apparently we’re also “pretending” every coach gets nominated for multiple Jack Adams by accident. Like Petr Mrazek just accidentally getting multiple Vezina nominations. Definitely.
My argument clearly states I don’t always agree with coaches. The fact remains, we don’t know why Kakko is scratched. It’s entirely possible the coaching staff has repeatedly shown him tape and asked him to do something that he cannot/will not do. People are acting like we’re scratching a 70 point player because of where he was drafted. If he was the 90th overall pick no one would give a shit and people would firmly believe this is a furure third liner.
I qualified my own feelings about NHL coaches and GMs a half dozen times in my post. I just don’t have the arrogance to believe I *definitely* know better because people like shit I post online, even though I *feel* like I know better.
I’m in the camp that Kakko should be playing. I’m also aware that, passionate though I am, I actually don’t know shit.
Hed be far from a jack adams candidate if shesty didn't have a historically good year.

What an absolute BONEHEAD move by GG. Keeping Strome in the lineup when he can barely move, or hunt???..over a healthy KK who has been apart of our best line? In an elimination game? Easily worst move of the season, by far.
At least kk could have given them some possession time and some D , strome is useless and now out for the game

Kakko is nowhere near the best player to have been a healthy scratch around the league in these playoffs. Let’s not act like this was totally out of line. It was a bad decision but probably one many coaches would have made.
I seriously hope he signs in Finland and demands a trade. Pathetic decision. We don’t deserve the player.

I don’t agree at all. it made zero sense in so many ways. you can’t say rooney or hunt are better. the kid line was by far our best line for most of the playoffs. and strome couldn’t even finish the f***ing game. it made zero sense, it was stupid, and I hope it gets gallant fired. because if I’m kakko, I wouldn’t blame him for one second for wanting to leave the organization. it’s inexcusible.

I think something happened between kakko and turk. Turk got pissy when asked about it during the game and he just snapped at someone during post game presser that asked about it. Something happened behind the scenes.
To not give yourself a chance to go back to to your best 5v5 line in the playoffs in an elimination game is absurd.
Better be something egregious that caused the scratch.
Low chance. Just not a question he wanted to deal with.

like if chosen is right and it was some kind of disciplinary reason, then it has to be said and go into the details later. I’d be fine with that. but leaving us out in the dark is a very bad look

Doesn’t add up. If it was disciplinary or whatever he wouldn’t have even been on the ice for warmups. Could have had Reaves on the ice as an extra just in case.
