I mean no player in the playoffs is 100%. If we're making a run how are his teammates going to look at him, as they're playing through sprains and dislocations and breaks, and he's just like oh im only 97% and the team shut me down?
Your overthinking things. . This isn't as,complex as you think it is.. its a sport not love connection

I think Kakko would slot very nicely on that third line. A player that can maintain possession in the offensive zone is going to help out Chytil and Laf tremendously. Chytil and Laf have been shooting some blistering wristshots and if Kakko can buy them a little extra time to get in better positions they will start scoring. I love what Goodrow has done but he can benefit from a day off here and there down the stretch. His play has slipped and he's slapping the puck around mindlessly in the offensive zone right now. Laf has taken a step forward and Chytil is no slouch in his own zone. I think Laf/Chytil/Kakko should get a few games to see how they look together. Chytil and Kakko have barely and TOI together this season and Kakko is probably the most comfortable with Chytil at center. With Chytil and Kakko working the boards Laf would just need to get open.

You didn’t hear this from me… butttt… Ligament 🤣

On the bright side he’s been doing a shit ton of conditioning in a controlled environment so it shouldn’t take him long to get into game shape.
I'd rather he broke a bone.

Rooney also at practice today. GG says there is a chance both are ready for tomorrow's game. Chytil has an upper body injury that is day to day. So Kakko and Rooney likely to slot in their places. I expect we will see Laffy Goodrow and Kakko on the third line. Rooney Brods and Hunt on the fourth.
Chytil is day to day. So who knows what that means anymore.

This means I don't have to close Tob's account.

It. is. happening.

Holy smokes, Goodrow, wily vet, in the middle centering our 1OA and 2OA picks.

If Kakko takes that fabled next step upon return, it could be a huge advantage for us. He's completely rested, basically re-starting his season for the most part. If ever there was a time for his arrival party, it will be the playoffs. He can shut alot of people up if he takes off in these playoffs.

Extremely wishful thinking, but I wanna believe!

A few quotes from a Finnish interview, likely done before yesterdays practise:
"Getting better. I can do more stuff already, but I'm not 100% yet. For many weeks it has just been gym and skating. I've been able to keep my skating condition up to snuff and probably improved it a bit. Now I'm supposed to get back to practise with the team. Should be on good condition for a return."
"When that happens, I'm not sure. I've just been listening to the doctors and doing as they tell me"
"Pretty confident that we are going to play for a while (refering to the playoffs), so I've been working with that in mind. There's a few regular season games left, would be good to play in a few before the playoffs. It will probably take a few games to get the groove back on but after that I'm 100%."

Wow, didn't know he was skating so much over the last few weeks and even thinks he might have improved his conditioning. Great news.

I'm surprised Drury allowed Kakko to speak to non-English speaking members of the media.
