Kakko has improved a lot, and Ive been very negative about him. His puck control every year gets better and better. He needs to improve his decision making a bit more and maybe his shooting. But I like what I see. I think him being on a line with Kreider is a mistake. Zibby and Kakko are fine together, and Zibby and Kreider are fine, but Kreider and Kakko dont seem to have any sort of chemistry. I feel like this team actually has the right players, just the wrong combinations.
I think Vesey needs a chance in top 6. Kreider on 3rd line and PP.
I feel much better about Kakkos game overall this year. You can tell he is more confident and when he starts putting in more goals and points, he will be even better. Gallant doesnt seem to see this which is aggravating. You run the hot hand in OT. Why he didn't get a sniff in OT against Detroit??? Kakko would thrive in a 3 v 3. He is a puck hog! WTF

Podcasts that aren't run by people who are our equals as fans usually run about 6 months behind the times even at their best.

The sad thing is all those guys are involved in hockey at the high level.

There’s been that weird idea of Rangers trying to showcase Kakko for trades.
Because Kane would mean Cup.

Hopefully all that talk goes quiet and Kakko van focus on games

I'd like there to be more than ONE shooting option on the powerplay. Crazy idea i know but give it a chance. IIRC in 2019-20 Panarin was in Zib's spot and the PP was dank af. Panarin can shoot or pass from there, Zib can be in the bumper for the quick one timer/tip or be up top with his heavier shot since he's the only one on the team who can score from distance. Its been done before. And most teams around the league have a LHS opposite a RHS in the circles.
To be clear. The issue is Ck not burying shit.
If he was at the same form he was last year, we’d be a lot more dangerous.
That’s probably not happening again though.

Yeah you've been seeing it all year, Kreider gels with Zibanejad, but is just not on Kakkos level. Talk about something to be optimistic about, I think that really just shows how high level of a player Kak is becoming.

We've gotta figure this shit out.

I haven't even noticed Kreider on the PP so far this year. He's pretty much there for screens right now.

They Gel everywhere but 5 on 5. Great PK combination.

Yeah, it's because Kreider can't pass to save his life. Kak and Laf are elite passers.

I absolutely would love having them together as a pk duo, young fresh blood like Kak on the pk is going to go a long way. I guess gG is easing him into that role.

If Kakko was going to be put up PP1 it should be in Kreider's spot because he might be able to make plays from the goal line but that would require a slight adjustment to the Rangers gameplan

Yeah, you'd have to move Kreider off the unit. It also removes Chris from an area (or THE area) where he excels, decreases his value tremendously. Might be something to consider at some point, but Kreider being on the ice 5v5 only is ugh...

I listen to many Ranger podcasts.

This is my favorite.

These people post their podcasts very timely. I have no idea where your "6 months behind" came from.

Of course, there are many other Rangers podcasts. I have found that if I sign up for them all, then unsubscribe from the ones that do not meet my listening desires. I still have a bunch of podcasts for the NY Rangers news.

I think the 6 months thing meant that their discussions might center around ideas the board cane up w and dismissed ages ago.

But we also have 24/7 discussion so it makes sense hf might hit topics way in advance of a podcast

Poor Kakko.

Guy has another strong game, team puts up 8 and he gets another 2 third assists and draws a penalty that leads to a Ppg

Also thought the puck hit his skate before Fox’s goal.

Ugh I didn't wanna talk about it and look *even more* like a Kakko butt dog, BUT come on man! He deserved
the goal there!

He's getting better and better. He just needs to figure out how to produce more points.
He's already among the best in the league at board work and coming away with the puck. It's a skill that not many have consistently.

He is playing better this season. I would play him more short handed. Often guys find their games confidence when they play short handed.
