I might eat my words as this is an early deduction but I take Holl over Brodie 7 days a week

All sarcasm aside, Holl may be protected in upcoming expansion draft. Thats how well hes developing. He's a key clog in this defense and any criticisms of him are not warranted.

He only makes 2 M / yr for another 2 years. If you take into account his cap hit, he has to be protected for the expansion draft. He is a great return on investment in terms of cap dollars spent.

Holl is now carrying Muzzin.

He has been outstanding this year but was awful in the playoffs last season.
I will hold off anointing him as the next big thing until he does it in this coming playoffs.

Holl's gap control is better than anyone on our team. And its not even remotely close IMO. Long reach, excellent anticipation, great stick, decent skating and big frame make it hard to get around him. That video of him angling the best player on the planet, McJesus, into the corner forcing a turnover on the PK.......***chefs kiss**

Truthfully, he has been doing that all year. It doesn't even surprise me anymore. If he continues this way, I am not sure how you could leave him unprotected TBH

Definitely creates a situation come the expansion draft. Holl will need protected or his deal at 2mil will be snapped up for sure

This is very much a blueline by committee so if it gels properly and we go on a run we need all these parts to do their part without a lot of hierarchy. Brodie makes a lot of smart little decisions with the puck, takes an extra half second that adds up to a lot of stability and control.
