If you're legitimately "angry," then you need to take some time and calm yourself down, and ask yourself what your own problem is, rather than worrying so much about me.

Nothing I said was outrageous in any sense. I happen to think Justin Faulk is a good player, and a good asset to the team, and I'd rather have him around than not have him around.

If that's such a problem for you, you should do some serious self-reflection and ask yourself why you are so opposed to me having that opinion. I have not insulted you in any way or belittled your opinion to the contrary. Hell, I even said that if we do trade him that Kase seems the kind of player that would be worth it.

This is starting to seem really personal so I'm going to beg off the forum for the next couple days in hopes that you will calm down and stop harping on every sentence I type.

How dare you be concerned with losing the #2 by EV ice time in the playoffs and a leader in the room in another offseason of turnover! Shame.

What would be an ideal return here. a highish pick + B-C prospect prospect?

Canes are probably interested in one of Anaheim's forward prospects. Terry, Jones, or Comtois. Comtois is likely only available in the event of an immediate Faulk extension, a la Brannstrom with Mark Stone.

not expecting much. 2nd+junk

They're not trading Silvferberg. If they're trading an established NHLer, it's probably Henrique, or somebody like him. I could see them wanting to get away from that contract.

I'd be overjoyed if one of Terry, Comtois or a top-10 protected 1st is part of the package. Even if it isn't though, this would still be excellent asset management regardless. Getting Gardiner for such a bargain and then parlaying a pending UFA for picks is simply amazing contract maneuvering.

Bumping some of the best initial takes now that we actually seem to be close to pulling Ondrej Kase for Justin Faulk. Amazing time to be a Canes fan.

You should use that function more. I’m pushing 200 people and it’s improved my hf experience immensely.
I try to limit my visits to boards where it isn't needed be needed. Just so happens we have this slowly breaking news situation that I wanted to read about. There was only one person that frequents forum 26 that I grew weary of so much that I had to block them. Someone we acquired in the Nino trade.

Kase is a great return for the Canes. He likes to have the puck on his stick & drive the play a bit, sounds like he'd fit in.
This is a big price for Anaheim on a pending UFA but turning a 7th round pick into Faulk isn't that bad & Kase could get another concussion that hurts his career.

Faulk, 27, is in the final-year of his contract, which comes with a $4.833 million salary cap hit, and appeared to have become more expendable after the Hurricanes signed defenceman Jake Gardiner to a four-year contract last week.
According to TFP Editor-in-Chief David Pagnotta, Faulk’s next deal could be worth
north of $6 million, annually.

IF HE STAYS HEALTHY, IT IS POSSIBLY WIN-WIN FOR BOTH.

By the way hi, I am the guy who translated his Czech “Player’s Tribune” article.

Ondrej Kase:
5' 11", 186 lbs., CZE, 23 years old, 3 years NHL
149 Games: 36 Goals+37 Assists = 73 points
Scouting Report: Sports Forecaster
Has very good offensive instincts and great puck skills and vision. He loves having the puck on his blade because he excels as a playmaker (but can also score a lot of goals himself). Lacks ideal size for the National Hockey League game, so he must adapt to smaller rinks and greater physicality around him. Needs to get much stronger to better avoid injuries
