He NEVER uses his line mates. 64 assists? How about you shove those 64 assists up your ass Ho Bust. See what I did there? I replaced "Sang" with "Bust". Mhm.. Clever.

And this post shows your knowing of him. Did i say never? But he is way too selfish.

How so? Can you give me 64 times that he refused to pass to his teammates? Also, are you apart of the people who choose who will be on Team Canada? This will explain a bunch.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic but out of all things you came up with this?

"Doesn't use linemates" is a whole lot closer to "never uses linemates" than it is to putting up 64 assists. Don't act like someone was trying to twist your words.

This is my problem with Ho Sang. First he is sitting on his teammates LAP at the prospects game. This player must have been so embarrassed that he may never play hockey again out of FEAR. He goes to play a game of hockey and this piece of **** sits on his lap. He celebrates when he scores. What's next? He thinks it is ok to just "have fun" while playing hockey?

No no no no no no no.. I'll tell you what is acceptable. Him quitting hockey.

Also, he is black.

You really have to wonder how much of his issue is because of race. You would like to think that we are past such things, but when you compare how he/Subban/E Kane are treated compared to other players, you really have to wonder.

Patty Kane was brash and loved to party when he came into the league. Same with Tyler Seguin. For the most part, it gets brushed aside as "oh, their just young kids having fun." (at least until you get traded away from Boston, then the media goes all in).

Compare that to Ho Sang or PK Subban. They are extremely confident on the ice, both can give some good soundbytes, but they are both also known for giving back to the community and helping those in need. Yet, they are considered to be selfish and have "issues" off-ice. It's ridiculous.

I really hope Ho Sang succeeds more than any prospect we have. Everything I hear/read about him makes me root for him more and more.

You don't need to wonder. It's patently obvious. The innuendo and smear campaign relating to Evander Kane was unbelievable. The idea that any of it actually made the local Winnipeg papers is a journalistic scandal. I mean, look at this hit-piece:

http://www.winnipegsun.com/2012/12/19/kane-a-winger-without-a-clue

The idea that you kill a guy for not being low-key while amassing rumor and innuendo is obvious and overt. They did it because Kane couldn't fight back without reinforcing a stereoptype. And that's why Steve Simmons did it Ho-Sang.

That they still have it up on their website is incredibly sad. Guy shouldn't have a job.

Just read the Simmons Ho-Sang article. Simmons is a terrible person.

To be honest, I never read it since I usually just disregard everything Simmons writes. I think his Kessesl hot dog piece may have been the biggest piece of pure **** I have ever seen on the website of a major newspaper.

The more interesting thing about the Ho Sang article is the second comment on the page, allegedly from Ho Sang's strength and conditioning coach. Pretty much sums up what I have heard from everyone who actually knows Ho Sang.

I saw that, very cool. It seems those that directly with him have nothing but good things to say (sans Warren Rychel).

I agree with all of this, and currently he's my fav prospect. I hope he lights up the OHL one more year, and ends up being a stand up guy for this org. (I assume one more year in OHL?)

Almost certainly. A Coyotes fan on the main board told me that Perlini should be back in Niagara as well, so he'll have someone to pass the puck to.

Pat Kane tried to rob a taxi driver, Dany Heatley killed his friend, RO'R crashed into Horton's while drunk, Richards tried to smuggle hillbilly heroin over the border, Voynov beat his wife and Giroux grabbed a cop's ass. Still it's always E Kane and PK who get beaten up in the press.

Pat Kane and Seguin got a lot of crap for being party boys, Byfuglien and Kessel shared criticism for being fat.

Tavares and Toews get the choir boy treatment because they are cliche machines, but Rob Schremp and Ho-Sang get arrogant attitudes because that doesn't fit the mold.

I really don't think it's race.

i think it is most definitely about race

if a white kid does stupid ****, he is "immature and needs to grow up....but dont worry he is young"

if a black kid does stupid ****, he has "serious character flaws and will be a detriment to the lockerrom"

As I said in my post, I don't like to think it's race, but there is definitely a difference in treatment.

Kane got crap, but everything was said with a joking tone. With Seguin, the party boy stuff didn't come out until he was traded out of Boston.

With players like E Kane and Ho Sang, words like "uncoachable" get thrown around. PK Subban should be one of the faces of the league. He should be up on every advertisement, a model citizen off the ice, an award winning human highlight reel on the ice. Yet, he's considered a "showboat" in ways that Eric Karlsson never has to deal with.

And it's amazing to me that Schremp remains the go-to comparison for Ho Sang. Schremp was 5'10" and couldn't skate for ****. Ho Sang is 6'0" can skate and is willing to go to the net/corners. The two are pretty much nothing alike.

Yeah, the whole Boston trash talking thing is basically it's own category now.

We aren't comparing skillsets lol, we're comparing what's being said about their character. On the main board there is a thread asking why he didn't make it and then there is an article describing him in his younger days. Replace his name with Ho-Sang. Ridiculously similar..

Really? Cause the things being said about Shcremp are that he couldn't skate and he was lazy.

I have never seen Ho Sang called lazy. The knock is usually that he is "selfish" or "cocky".

So, again, why is Schremp used as the comparison? They have different skillsets and different (supposed) flaws.

The comparison could be Patty Kane, or PK Subban, who plays a different position but was/is also bashed for being cocky. Instead, people want to write off Ho Sang and so they go out of their way to compare him to a complete bust.
