Having Pinto back creates depth. Put Norris at 3rd center if you want Pinto on the secind line.

I think the fact that Pinto takes the harder matchup is a key to our success, it’s like the opposition gets weaker in the top 6 because of Pinto’s defensive play and our team gets stronger in the top 6 because Norris gets an easier matchup especially in offensive zone face offs.

Expect big things from Norris now that Pinto is back, the ice will open up a bit for that entire line

Around the bend
I want to see Batherson back with them.

Stu with G and Greig could be good

I've been liking Stu and Bath together. Two most talented forwards, who can think the game at a high level. Play well off the rush and cycle. G complements them well with his smarts, and faceoff ability.

Norris and Chucky with Grieg have good sandpaper and straight line games.

Yes, I don't mind either line.

I am curious if the Tkachuk Norris Bath line can find their previous chemistry and give us a truly dominant line.

The Stu line would be a pain in the ass and competent offensively.

Just spitballing.

Both lines have been playing well. Just sever lack of finish.

I would tinker with the lines. Unless we can get a serious replacement for Greig

For a team with a severe lack of finish, we're still 13th league wide in goals per game...

All kidding aside, scoring has really dropped off in Nov, we were 3rd at the end of October, PP has really cooled off and needs to be better, and 5v5 hasn't faired much better. Ups and downs will happen, the underlying numbers for scoring are actually better in Nov,

The team play has been great. No arguments there.

That sh% number really stands out.

Lets assume we've overhyped the talent level on the team, even if that's true, a sh% of 5.53 in Nov is third worst in the league. I doubt very much that will continue. of note, Toronto is 2nd worst at 5.23%, so teams with talent can have their struggles too.

We should probably be around 8%, +/- 1%. That's about another 5 goals (5v5) over the 8 games we played in Nov if we're just shooting at an expected sh%.

Expected. Expected why. Cuz that’s league average?

I don’t even feel like we’ve been hitting posts lately. Our guys simply cannot beat goalies regularly.

It's actually a bit below average (8.76). Last year, with mostly the same players (at least the same core guys) we were at 8.36%. The year before that we were 7.49 and before that 7.58

Expected because 5.53 is extremely low. Expected because we are getting the quality looks, this isn't a case of a team shooting from the perimeter.

Most of our top 6 has a history of scoring goals. Sometimes the team can be in a slump.

We could also be putting more pucks on net from less desirable areas. At the end of the day, we aren't scoring enough, consistently, and personally, I think we need more rebound goals.

We don't get enough 2nd and 3rd whacks at pucks right now.

We are creating scoring chances. Not a ridiculous rate. But.

Tkatchuk has a very particular skill set.

Norris is a quick one timer guy.

We don’t have a pure goalscorer on this team and our depth has a history of not scoring AT ALL outside of pinto who is playing with no offensive talent

I like Norris and I like his maturity.

But as of today, Brian Mcgratton has done more for this franchise then Josh Norris has.

Mcgratton played 130 games from Ottawa , Norris has played 200 almost all on the top PP unit.

And Brain Mcgratton has still done more for this franchise, that’s how little impact this team makes.
