Had a good game today. Controller disconnect moment in OT though
I noticed that as well. After rewatching, it's actually on Brady. Norris thinks he's gotta cover the high man entering the zone but then sees brady hasn't made the backcheck and tries to adjust. Brady is lucky ullmark bailed him out with an absolutely beautiful save.

This is pretty funny actually; Sens are lucky Ullmark saved their bacon here and allowed BT to be the OT hero.
Norris has indecision...Sandy is telling him to take the Marchand with the puck and Brady in fast pursuit is telling him to take Lindholm

SMH on Brady on that play. Norris clearly as Sandy was indicating should have busted his ass to disrupt Marchand while Sandy moved across ,
Brady should have been busting his ass to try to catch the man he was pointing at.

If Norris takes the top guy and Brady the bottom, doesn't that just leave the trailer wide open?

I was expecting Norris to push the puck carrier wide and Sanderson to take the weak side once Norris ensured the was no play straight to the net, with Brady left for the trailer.

I don't really think either Brady or Norris handled it well, but Ullmark saved the day so it's all good.

Looks like Sandy and Norris should have had each of the rushing bruins. If Brady had chased after one too then the trailing dman would have been all alone the slot.

edit: Yes Micklebot beat me to it i guess :) One of the many situations they have to learn how to read and react to on the fly i guess

Yah you are right on the trailer... Still Brady looks like he's telling Norris to take Lindholm while Sandy is telling him to take Marchand which to me is correct.
I just got caught up in the freeze frame .. with the glide and the point and forgot about the 3rd guy coming late

I have no idea why Brady would tell Norris to cross all the way to the other side, make no sense to me, I hope the coaches go over the video with them on that one....

It's a funny freeze frame; it's like a dysfunctional spider-man meme.

I find he comes and goes and so does Batherson. I think Batherson has more talent and Norris has better defensive fundamentals .
Their inconsistency ... and they are not the only ones needs to improve. The young core forward group is still not there maturity wise..
Exactly that, they have a lot of talent and are great player, but need to find consistency. Norris did miss a lot of hockey in the last few years, so hopefully gets more confident as he plays more.

I was thinking it might be cool to see the classic Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson line together again with a healthy Norris.
I posted that in another thread, I would love to see them together again for a few games and with Perron & Pinto out, I would try Greig-Stu-G on the other top 6 line. Greig and G have played very well when put together.

He's definitely being more involved this season coming off shoulder surgery compared to last season. Last season I was genuinely concerned about how passive his play had become. There were plays last season when he would avoid pursuing pucks in a 1 on 1 battle and give up, that's not happening now. Glad to see the more physical play. He's our best natural goal scorer for sure.

It's interesting to read about the different surgery and the screws put in and that made him much more confident in the shoulder. I don't know if we ever got those specifics previously.

With Pinto coming back, keep him behind Norris. Norris is playing good enough to stay in the top 6 and it will also help ease Pinto back in with easier minutes.

Definitely. Pinto is also more effective on the 3rd line and can also create offence on his own. Along with Amadio and Perron, that line will get it’s share of offensive stats too.

Man wanna see this roster completely healthy and playing together for once.
