President Dubas says he wants to win so maybe he would like to add Anderson to the Penguins.
Wouldn’t meet analytics requirement - doesn’t wear a pink tutu to play the game and actually gets involved physically … another analytics taboo

His analytics are not bad actually. His finishing and ability to generate chances off the rush are favourable for most analytical models

2 years ago today. Our last Stanley Cup final win. I know a lot of people here don’t like him but I still do. That was a power horse goal.

It feels like that situation when you hear about a friend, or an acquaintance that cheats on their partner. You look up the person they cheated with and realize that their spouse is hotter, but it's something different, so that person found them more attractive.

Anderson definitely had his faults, but he's not as attractive as someone else, until we get rid of Anderson and get that someone else and realize 6 months later this someone else f***ing sucks and we miss Anderson

If Anderson ever finds a bit more consistency it would be amazing. He also could step up a bit more and help Xhekaj keep the peace.
He is needed on this team.

I agree. As many players of the Habs, he need to find more consistency but how was it possible the last 2 seasons considering all the injuries . It was impossible for him as it was for several players, because a player needs to play with the same mates for a while to create chemistry

If we could ship him to like WSH for Mantha and a first +, Id be ecstatic
I'd like this return.

But, Anderson took strides last year after RHP was called up. He produced at a 30 goals, 50 point pace per 82 games. I'm interested to see if he can keep it up, or come close to it. If he can, not only will he be a good player who brings much needed size to our lineup, he'll also have much higher trade value than he does now.

Not sure if it was RHP or the work the coaching staff did with him that Anderson himself mentioned many times, or both.

With RHP he doesn’t have to think, they dump the puck in the zone and go get it. He’s just not suited to play with guys who likes to create

Anderson matches well with guys that play north/south, probably why RHP seemed to be a good fit with him.

And that's also why he looks lost when he's playing with Suzuki and Cole. Suzuki likes to slow down the game.

But as you said, MSL is clearly trying to diversify his game, I think I even saw him make some decent passes at the end of last season

Yes I think it was probably both. Anderson isn't a natural talent. He built his game up to where it is and has continued to work hard on his game under MSL. He's in that sense still a developing player who I'm more has reached his peak. I wanted him gone before RHP got called up. But now I find myself wondering what heights he can be reached.

I still wouldn't separate him from RHP though.

Then the C would be Suzuki?

I'd like Slaf with Monahan, Dach with Newhook.

Caufield would have to get either Dach or Monahan, I'd prefer Dach.

I'm not sure when Slaf would be best. Next to Caufield and Suzuki? With Dach and Newhook? With Monahan (and RHP)?

There are many moving parts. But in a perfect world, imo, RHP and Anderson stay together for hiw much that duo benefited Anderson. Then again RHP may also be able to benefit Slaf...

No thanks, neither one is suited to play their wrong wing.

Trade to a contender. Power forwards tend to breakdown once they hit 30 and we aren't contenders for a while still. Won't get a better return than right now.
