I have a hard time believing that anyone would give up a first round pick for Jordan Harris. Even a 2nd is pushing it. Smallish LD with decent results on a bad team aren't really in high demand.

Romanov got traded for #13 + #98
Harris holds close to he's value.
So 2 second (LA being a late one) is fair for a NHL ready D, 23 years old at 1,4mil signed for 2 more years.
Jezz second picks are not worth that much to be honest.

Dach might not even play in the NHL,, Harris does allready.
You should quit while you’re increasing far behind. It’s only getting worse for you.

Lots of talk on social media about Harris being on the market.

With Matheson , Ghule , Wifi on the left there is no room for him really,
Then you have Hutson, Engstrom, Struble in the pipeline as well.

Some say he could be a top 4 LHD in the NHL

What is your offer ?
You should find a similar level, stalled prospect, with too many bodies in front of him on the roster… and that’s your target in a hockey trade.

He’s Jacob Bryson with an extra inch or two. I expect his career and value to arc similarly - a nice little and somewhat unexpected arrival as an undersized, slick skating but physically soft LHD who can play right away but doesn’t have a ton of upside and who will gradually be phased out by his original organization as they get bigger, stronger and more difficult to match up against on the blueline as they improve as a competative organization.

This is certainly the time to deal him to maximize value but he simply doesn’t have the kind of physical package GM’s lust after.

Harris is definitely worth more to the Habs. Then the price we would get from trading him. Better to hold on to him for now.

Probably worth a 3rd + 4th at most, or a stalled forward prospect like Foote, Poulin, Suzuki, Beecher, maybe plus or minus a mid pick.

Makes more sense to see how camp shakes out before moving anyone imo

Harris was drafted in the 3rd
hes no longer n ELC/ exempted a left D

he doesn’t have much value in his own.

you can trade him fir a similar player around 23 yrs old has to clear waivers and is a F

he gets traded as part of a larger trade.

him getting a 1st or 2nd? Not happening.

Chicago could be a great place for him,,
Much better then Tinordi.

Something around Colton Dach + LA 2nd maybe ?
Or Tampa first ?
Or TOR first ?
Yeah no thanks to any of those suggestions. Nothing against Harris but we have our own lefty dmen to try out.

He won't be moved anytime soon. He was probably the 2nd best of the young D last year after Guhle. He is ahead of Wifi on the depth chart. Hutson is no guarentee and Matheson is probably gone by the time Hutson is ready to make a significant impact.

Romanov is wicked overrated but he still has/had more value.

Turn those 2's upside down and make them 5's.

Like earlier poster said, dime a dozen solid bottom sixer. Better to keep him and see if he can grow past his perceived value.

Certainly nothing close to a 1st round pick

Just because he's played games in the NHL doesn't make him good. He was playing those games on one of the worst teams in the league, and now he's apparently not good enough to Crack the lineup of a bottom 10 defense in the league this year...
The team iced up to 5 rookie defenceman a night who had an accumulated 21 NHL games experince to begin the season on a team who set a record for man games lost to injury yet hung around a playoff position till Christmas. And again yet the team still still earned 68 points. All things considered with nuance and context there is more than reason to be optimistic here should they cut man games lost say by 400 would you not agree?

They'll move Harris in future not this season. When Hutson makes the jump.

I don't hate nor particularly like Harris. He's relatively young and hasn't proven much. There's some potential in him. That is a description that fits (too) many of our players, at all positions.

At this point, we should let our underwhelming depth battle it out and see if some of these guys will rise above the sea of mediocrity we are drowning in. If by some miracle we have too many legit full-time top 6 D half way in the season, we can always reassess.

I have learned that projections are worth as much as used TP. Habs are better to keep them all and only trade them when someone forces their hand. Who knows who takes a step back and maybe Harris becomes important and someone else goes in a year or two.

Great minds. Quality dmen will always be easy to trade in the NHL. Unless this is about not believing in the player and wanting to get some value while they have it, better off waiting.

One or two of the young D will be moved in a package/multiple packages as soon as next summer when Montreal looks to turn a corner into being competitive. Harris might not be one of those guys because I don't think he has a ton of value around the league but he's a really solid, smart player that is unlikely to every carry a huge price tag so he could be in their long term plans as a really solid #5 that can slide up a pair when needed. His value is probably somewhere in between a late 2nd and 3rd right now, no point
