He reminds me a bit of Corey Perry actually....

I know the Sens stay away from the Q, but Huberdeau has to be in serious consideration for us...

How do they stay away from the Q? Mike Hoffman and Culek were just taken out of there in consecutive years.

Huberdeau looks talented but I don't think he's top 5 talented, or even top 7...maybe 8th or 9th. I feel as though he's benefiting a lot from playing on the best team in a bad league. You can compare the stats of the teams, but the more I've watched Huberdeau and Couturier the more it comes off as though the defenses in that league are just disorganized, the goalies aren't very good and compared to the other two CHL leagues it just doesn't look like the play level is as high.

Just my two cents.

Nice vid!

I don't know if it's the sweater, but he looks a lot like Stamkos. Except Huberdeau has better vision, but not as good shot.
I like the Giroux comparison more for his overall game, but in terms of how he skates and his frame I definitely get a Stamkos vibe. As you said though, part of that is probably the jersey :)

In terms of the forwards in this draft, my gut feeling is that RNH and Landeskog will be the first 2 picked, but after that it's gonna be really interesting to see what order Huberdeau, SC and Strome go in, I really have no idea how to rank these guys.

Excellent, excellent mix btw, keep em coming!

Huberdeau any chance at 1st overall?

Jonathan Huberdeau has shot up rankings this season and is a regular top 5 on most lists now. If the sea dogs win the memorial cup and huberdeau keeps tearing things up the way he currently is (12 pts in 4 gp) is there any chance he surpasses RNH as the top forward prospect?

No, but I wouldn't be overly shocked if he slid inside the top 3.

Top 3 maybe but 1st overall no chance.

They say theres a top 8 where all could go first overall and of course Huburdeaus in that (Some obviously with more chances then others) but I can only see Larsson, Landeskog and RNH going first overall at this point.

Only because Hopkins is in the dub...It's mindsets like this in the hockey world that make this site less enjoyable.

If Huberdeau is around a 3 PPG in the playoffs I "believe" he will be the top pick in the draft or at least considered the top prospect in the draft.

Mindsets like what?

We're not allowed to think that Huberdeau has no chance at being drafted first overall?

It depends on the team I guess, but if Edmonton's picking, I doubt he has any chance, and that's not a sleight on him at all.

Yeah 3-4 isn't out of reach.

I can't see anyone but RNH and Larsson going 1 and 2. Landeskog, Strome, Huberdeau, Couturier will be interesting...and maybe Hamilton shakes it up.

Haven't decided who I like more Strome or Huberdeau....but love Hubey's skill set.

What? What exactly are you accusing me of?

I don't think Huberdeau will be able to knock off either Larsson or RNH. It has nothing to do with the WHL. Could he make the top 3? Possibly.

I don't see what I did in order to receive backlash from you...

No, and he won't be top-3.

Wait, you're psychic?

Seriously, it only takes one team to really like and he's in the top 3. If Johansen was taken 4th overall last year, I think Huberdeau can make it into the top 3. 1st overall? Maybe, but it would be a real surprise.

Oilers won't pick him.

Maybe if another team wins the lottery... even then, doubtful.

I think he'll be in the 5-8 range. He might drop a bit depending on teams needs, kinda like how Gorms dropped to 13 last year.
