Jonathan Huberdeau delivers Justice

...and Huberdeau for all.

My latest video, I'll have Beaulieu, Tesink and Jurco all done by next week with any luck. Hope you enjoy!

I had to use this song before it becomes overused in tribute videos... Thanks Adidas

Watching the film, I can't help but compare Huberdeau to Claude Giroux. He has the nasty side and the same wizardry. His speed might be average but he has nice size to compensate and is far above average on his edges. He's going to score a lot of goals from within 2 feet in high traffic and is one of the best players one on one in the entire draft.

The area he can probably work on most is getting some more zip on his shots along with adding an extra gear.

Huberdeau skating to top of 2011 Draft rankings
MONDAY, 03.14.2011 / 9:00 AM / 2011 NHL ENTRY DRAFT By Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com Staff Writer

Jonathan Huberdeau took the non-traditional path in learning how to skate -- and he paid the price.

"My mom and dad wanted me to learn how to skate before playing hockey," Huberdeau told NHL.com, "so they enrolled me in these speed-skating classes."

Since Huberdeau didn't own a pair of speed skates, he used hockey skates instead. Needless to say, the results were hardly encouraging.

"It was funny," he said. "I always came in last. I would jump out to a lead at the start, but then I'd always look over my shoulder and lose my speed. They'd all catch up and that was it."

that 50second clip of Beaulieu has to be on your next vid, that was slick.

That part where Huberdeau scissored into that hole to find the pass was a carbon copy of a Giroux goal earlier on in the year. He might be even more versatile.

I've been saying this for the past 2 months now, Huberdeau is the next Claude Giroux... with better skating.

It's funny to lose? He likes to go 2-0 lead and then lose the game 2-3?

Just my 2 cents, don't take too serious.

His vision is unreal. There are a lot of good examples in there but this might be the best example. The ability to spot an open teammate is one thing but to see a play developing like that is special.

I wonder if he develops into a hybrid power forward once he fills out.

Nice vid!

I don't know if it's the sweater, but he looks a lot like Stamkos. Except Huberdeau has better vision, but not as good shot.

What position does Huberdeau play? Every site seems to list him as C but I've understood that his linemate Zach Phillips plays the C in that line. So is Huberdeau actually a winger and if so is he LW or RW?

LW..

Also, would be sweet if Toronto could package both 1sts + players to get up and get Huberdeau/Strome and choose a Jurco boom/bust type with their 2nd.

I will not be surprised if Huberdeau is selected 4th overall in the coming draft, after Landeskog, Larsson, and RNH. I believe it will be either him or Hamilton selected fourth.

Im Kinda hoping the Islanders take him 4th or 5th. Do you think hes a first liner? Could he look good with Tavares and Nino?

Huberdeau - Tavares - Niederieter
or
Grabner - Huberdeau - Okposo

Huberdeau - Tavares - Niederieter

That line would be disgusting.

As far as the question of what position he currently plays, I believe Zack Phillips takes the bulk of the face offs but Hubby does the rest of the center work, while ZP plays RW and Galiev plays the left side. Its probably the best line in the CHL.

I wouldn't be surprised if ottawa traded down a spot or two just to draft a guy with high end offensive potential than a powerforward with less offensive potential(nothing against landeskog they just might want a legit top line guy with a top 5 pick). A Huberdeau-Spezza-scrub line would make that scrub a 40 goal guy!
