Torts and Fletcher are in a mud throwing contest. Torts doesn’t like half of this team since they can’t play. Fletcher can’t/won’t move out some of this garbage. Look at that roster. Scotty Bowman in his prime of coaching couldn’t make this bunch into something worth watching. Half of the club either has weak skill sets for the sport or are jerks. Seriously when you have to dress Kieffer Bellows to fill out a game night roster, you’re ****ed.

For all the fawning over how honest and direct Tortorella is……he seems not very direct? And no, being punitive is not being direct. Emotional intelligence he does not possess in a time where that is one of the most important traits across every sport. But none of these players seem to have talked with Tortorella about scratches or usage or message sending. The only time he seems direct is through the media (when he feels like doing media). It’s a very bitchy passive aggressive mode of communication, which doesn’t scream LEADER OF MEN.

It makes sense for how he thinks.

1) playing youth is a problem
2) defense is good, so a dman playing forward must be great

Torts is really gunning to be fired for a fourth time in ten years. He wants so badly to be Pat Burns, but in the end, he's a less successful Babcock; i.e. pretty much just a prick.
