There are people that worship at this man's coaching altar. Those people are assholes too.
Flyers Twitter and the rest of the media and causal fanbase worship him in a way not even religious fanatics worship anyone.

But I guess that’s fair after all the amazing work he’s done to fix every intangible problem that definitely existed within this franchise. There’s no proof of any of that, since it’s intangible and all, but he’s definitely done it and you can trust the flawless eye test of the Flyers media and casual fans.

Gonna guess a lot of these people bitch daily to anyone who will listen about how their boss is an asshole to them.

What a novel thing....certain segments of a population (i.e. fanbase) worship leaders with authoritarian asshole cults of personality....

Flyers are definitely suffering a crisis of identity with their archaic leadership and corporatist ownership...

So I guess coaching and management's plan now is open warfare with their best players to shift blame to them
That's been the plan since Fletcher took over.

But Giroux, Voracek, and Ghost are already gone so these are the guys on the next tier down.

It's simple:

1) GM/Coaches deserve blame, which they won't accept
2) Deflect and scapegoat the top players
3) Remove those top players in awful trades
4) Even worse results
5) Repeat

Isn't it amazing how they always find some players to scapegoat? Once they ditch Sanheim, Provorov, and Farabee, I hope TK, Hayes, and Frost are ready to be next. The Clarke Management Tree pumps out pathetic people and poor leaders.

Don't forget Fletcher was already trying to trade TK last summer, so he might still be at the tippy top of the list. His scoring this season is irrelevant since clearly Fletcher doesn't take quality of play into account when deciding who to keep or remove.

All we know for sure is it's going to be Hextall guys who are scapegoated, since Fletcher will never admit that additions like Hayes, Ristolainen, TDA, etc. were massive disgusting mistakes.
