I like where your heads at, but not quite. Dinosaurs are prehistoric birds but they weren't drones.

The birds were wiped out between 1959 and 1971 and replaced with drones. Everything before that was a real bird, including dinosaurs.

wild guess Cam York was cut as a wake-up call to play team hockey instead of trying to show off skillz. If you have skill like Cale Makar then sure go nuts, no coach will complain including Tortorella, but if you only have skill like Cam York then pick and choose your spots and play within the team. Tortorella will talk a lot this season about changing the flyers culture to something resembling the successful teams and unlike some coaches he will mean it. Probably a big reason his teams have a funny habit of punching above their weight.

Makar also plays defense, he's a good player period, not just an offensive juggernaut.

The players who survive will be better for it, in better condition, with better fundamentals, and better chemistry (no one free lances or stat chases, play as a team or don't play).

They aren't. I've never seen an org so out of touch with its own players. No wonder they can't assess guys from outside the org.

That's not how York plays, and there are conflicting messages from the team about what he's supposed to be working on.
