I just made the Marge Simpsons noise of disapproval.

Like I've been saying in the Torts thread, I think he got as much as was possible out of the last two teams given the circumstances that surrounded each season. I would have preferred that they give him a full offseason to change his system. I also said that they should fire him if he refused to change it or refused to bring in a PP guy, and maybe one of those things happened. We'll never know I guess.

At the end of the day I'm a fan of the Rangers, not of Torts, so it is what it is I suppose. I'm crossing my fingers that they don't bring in some has-been retread, but knowing the Rangers management, that's exactly what they'll do.

Here's to a new beginning I guess.

I thought Lindy Ruff couldnt be more lazy and predictable...looks like theres rumblings Jim Schoenfeld is in the running. The Rangers never cease to amaze me. Ugh.

Really?! Im actually super happy about this news. Torts needed to go and if you can't see that then you are either way too big of a homer or perhaps a dumb person. The system was just not working with this group of guys, not to mention half of the goals we got scored on were because of Hank being screened or a deflection off the shot blocker. This team had no power play, no offense and I was frankly tired of watching the "dump and chase" offense.

I'm rooting for AV or Eakins to be our coach.

I want Vigneault. There's a reason the Canucks were a good team the past few years. The only reason they screwed up in the playoffs was their goaltender situation

Sather has yet to think outside the box or hire someone outside the old boys network when it comes to coaches. I will be shocked if its someone like Dallas Eakins and am fully anticipating Ruff or AV behind the bench next season.

I actually like AV, but I'd rather not get another retread, and I don't like how he plays favorites with ****** players (Aaron Rome, Andrew Ebbet).

In AV defense during the 2011 playoffs Rome looked like he was turning a corner and in the cup finals he was one of the better dman till he got suspended.

I personally want AV when the Canucks are winning they have a good balance of defense and offense
