Was drooling over his game tonight even before the fight. The fight put his game over the top for me.All my Tom Poti fears can be put to rest this guy is no TP.

Tom Poti?

Huh?

If someone thought he was a Tom Poti Clone, well, maybe they should find another sport.

Heartwarming to see him get abused by Skille and simply decide that this is not acceptable, going commanche on the guy and giving him a beating.
I was very happy with that. That shows pride in representing yourself and your team. He knew he did not need a penalty to be called against Skille, he only needed to take it into his own hands. Nice and simple

I like it.

I actually can see the comparison...which is a little frightening, but Moore has a couple of attributes that separate him from a player like Poti, and from what he's shown thus far as a Ranger, he's a different style of player.

Yes, he definitely has a "couple" (2) attributes that separates him from Poti & his purse.

Comparing Moore to Poti.

I just don't get it.

Edit: skating and puck control is a similarity, but Moore is made of tougher stuff

Kid could end up being the best player from this trade. He reminds me of McD in some ways.Hell,i've caught myself a few times seeing him play the puck, thinking it was McD

Damn you Rangers for giving him #17,DAMN YOU!

That would be pretty ****ing good considering Brassard; everyone seems excited about Dorsett also.

Moore looked like he was on bath salts goin' at that guy. Love it. :box:

Call me old school, but I don't like him fighting with the visor. That said, he absolutely nailed Skille a few times

Nothing to do with advantage. Hit the visor a little too hard with your hand and it can end up broken

he eventually ripped the dudes helmet off so its irrelevant.. this is hockey.. you stand up for yourself regardless of visor or not.. dude earned respect from fans, players and coaches even more after that fight..

Hard not to be impressed by this kid, speed, size, he throws the body, is poised, broke up the 2 on 1 Eminger gave them, lovbe the way he defended himself, grteat fight, got a great heavy slapshot too

Yeah.. I think I'm happier having this kid on D than Hamrlik or Bickel. He's been great.

I have to say, I was excited when he was traded for, but he has been VERY good on the back-end. Physical, smooth skating, can control the puck and make solid outlet passes. The Rangers scouts know their d-men, that much is obvious.

I will honestly go out on a limb and say Moore is actually a better skater than McDonagh. McDonagh is a strong skater because he is VERY strong. Moore is silky-smooth.

He is a pleasure to watch and hopefully keeps progressing.

then you should have left the "old school" comment out of the statement.

you make that claim prior to the rest of the comment, it insinuates something.

Situations like that, heat of the moment type fights, are good for the team. Visor or no visor you throw punches.

That's the kind of thing you like to see. When a kid steps out of his comfort zone and does something out of the ordinary, you know he's feeling confident. Hopefully he continues to progress forward.
