Although he hasn't looked good, I'm sure Klingberg would still net a pretty good return at the deadline. RHD OFD are always in demand even if they're not great.

His last two goals (the second in Montreal and today) were a combination of very poor defensive play around the goalie and an accurate shot on goal. In my opinion they were both a form of puck luck, but if he keep it going his value will go up significantly in a trade. His ability to score on a better team will result in more goals than on the Ducks.

I would be willing to postpone the return for him in a trade an additional draft year to the 2024 draft if it would result in a first round draft choice. If it is only going to be a second round draft choice I would insist on it being the 2023 draft.

Great puck luck. Before, Klingberg would choose to dangle the puck either looking for an amazing pass or be very picking about taking a shot - implying he's trying to do too much offensively. Since he's simplified his game to just take shots, puck luck has been bestowed upon him.

I don't know if Verbeek would postpone trading away Klingberg, especially if we eat up a lot of the contract for a late first round pick. We can try to re-sign him again to a one-year, $7 mil contract in the off-season, especially if we can't sign the college defensemen.

I can't imagine Verbeek being happy with Klingberg overall. He signed him with the clear intention to trade him at the deadline. If the Ducks can get a late first, they should be very happy.

Maybe he can increase his trade value to 3rd round pick? 1st round is pipe dream not gonna come close
Fringe NHL-ers fetch 4th round picks.

Klingberg is much more than fringe NHL player. He's playing way out of his depth on Ducks, but should fetch 2nd round pick without much problem.

To say maybe he can increase his value to 3rd round pick is quite honestly laughable.

He's amazing to watch - makes the power play electric in every way. Will be kind of tough knowing that we have several players up for new contracts.

Yah agreeed. Klingberg is going to want a huge bag. And we gotta sign Zegras expensively and also Terry I believe his contract is up as well. I don’t see Klingberg sticking around

Yah I’m hoping it’s a high second though. I mean Klingberg would shine nicely with so many teams. I’m hoping it’s like Edmonton or something. Somewhere in a middle range pick Atleast. That caphit is rough though 😑

2022 Trade Deadline

😬

What does Anaheim get? Read the link and I couldn’t find what Anaheim gets for Vatrano. Oh you’re making a comparison from last year to this year. My bad 🤣

That was from last years trade deadline. Anaheim hasn’t traded either of these players. It was just a reference for what that calibre of player could get.

Yah true I see it now. I thought it was a link to rumors with information of what Vatrano is going for. Because on social media there’s rumors of teams wanting em. Didn’t see the 22’ part of the message

I really want to take back what I said since he has been so inconsistent - but he does produce some highlights here and there.

You won't see any defensive highlights though lol

For sure….. we all know he’s doing this well due to him wanting a big pay day. Someone said something to that locker room the other day. And Klingberg had to have a wake up call. A long with a lot of our players. Not sure who did it? But I believe it was Verbeek.

No team turns it on that quickly without something happening
