Krebs Thompson Peterka would be a fun line
I like the idea of Krebs with Thompson, but think a Cozo-Peterka combo is a match made in heaven. Giving Cozens a better winger, who is more capable in transition, could help Dylan unlock the next level.

Maybe put asplund with them too monster possession/transition line, in couple a couple years we have potential to have multiple line combos to work with depending on how we want to play and accomplish.

Really fun hockey player. Maybe he just looks smart because he's having success but to me all the little things he does have a function. He is processing the game at a very high speed.

Look at how he handles the puck pre Thompson pass and Skinner miss and compare that to Mitts on the 2 vs 1.

I thought I was overhyping this kid honestly. Apparently not. His hands, especially when skating with speed, were really surprising to me last year. But I didn’t expect him to process the NHL game this fast this quickly. And he’s strong enough to win battles. Never stops moving his feet and battling. He’s an animal.

Peterka is so damn good. So much vet savvy to his game for a young guy
Different upsides I would say. From a readiness perspective, I had JJ ahead of Quinn if a decision needed to be made between the two. I still like them both on the roster and feel we need to be patient. JJ is young and we could still see him require press-box time like we see with Quinn now; and Jack start to light it up.

It's been a lot of fun watching him early on, but here is my question.

I've noticed a few times, including on his goal last night, he hangs a little longer in the neutral zone when the puck is in our own end, seemingly looking for the outlet pass behind the defense. Is cherry-picking a regular part of his game? And is that necessarily a bad thing - especially if he can bury it?? Seems like the kind of thing that will get you in the doghouse pretty quickly.

Long season, but I like the way Peterka is focused on the puck getting to the right areas in the offensive zone. He has taken hits, plays hard along the boards, maybe passes a bit too much... but he shows a willingness to get dirty and be unselfish in getting pucks into good areas

Could be something Granato has him doing. Cheating the zone for potential odd man rushes. If he was doing it and Don didn't want him to I'd imagine we'd have either seen him stop doing it or getting less ice time.

Well he seemed to be benched in the 3rd period against Florida. He only had 2 or 3 shifts.
