Absolutely and that line would always be on the ice late in games because of what they could do to preserve a win. I was thinking about Lehkonen as the perfect fit but he has so much trouble burying great chances, I actually thought that he would have become a consistent 20 goal man but oh well.
Lehkonen would be great on that line if he could produce like he did his rookie year. You would have a 2 way line every coach would love to have. His inability to finish and his overall struggle since his rookie season puzzles me. He has a good shot and showed promise, it's a bit baffling.

He had the same amount of points as he did his first year. Goals were down, but he's still producing. He's a good, inexpensive 3rd/4th liner, excellent PK'er who plays his nutsack off every shift. Need those guys on every team. Reminds me of Max Talbot...glue guy.

Joel Armia’s blossoming offence: Armia is another player in the middle of a breakout season. His goal ultimately was waved off, but the call didn’t erase his dominant play. The Finnish winger did about everything well on the sequence. He consistently maximized the opportunities he got with the puck by showing poised and smart movements. He attracted defenders on himself to free teammates for shots or give them time to handle the puck, moved outside of the defence to find a quiet area to shoot, supported the cycle, read the opposing breakout and stopped it, and won inside positioning in the slot. The last element ultimately led to his goal. He spun off his defender, beat him to the net and found a rebound to jam in. Armia is establishing himself as a legitimate threat inside the top six with sequences like this. He isn’t a perfect player, but his strengths far outweigh his flaws since the start of the season. One of those strengths? His crazy range and puck control.”

“We've to play offense. Offense is the best defense. With our skills and how we play together in practice I think the games gonna be good. Playoffs is more for little details. More speed. More physical. Always be in control of what you do. You can't just lose the puck everywhere.”

“I really don't care with who I'm going to play against... I feel I can play against anyone. Especially my line with the skills we've I think we can play against anyone.”

“My training program was the same stuff as the last couple of years. Just skating. Skating is the main point, getting more speed to my game. Because the game is getting faster all the time. So I'm going to try to keep up.”

“Probably just playing the right way from the start of the season. I got my confidence up that way. Last year I got more offensive roles here and I got to use it a little bit more. Probably just keeping going there. It's the combination of many things.”

As much as I like Armia, everything seemed to die on his stick. He had problems even completing any passes yesterday,

“I know I can play a lot better. I'm just trying to work every night, and trying to do my best. I know I haven't been scoring. But there have been a lot of guys on our team who've been stepping up and scoring even our young guys. I'm just trying to work every night and do my best, and I know I'll produce something along the way.”

“It's gonna be a lot of fun. I've been playing with Drouin and Kotkaniemi, they're both very skilled players. Every game has been better. Kotkaniemi is playing really good hockey right now, he's very physical on the ice.”

He has his up and down. We've seen it before. He's in a down period but he'll come back soon enough to a good quality of play. It's a shame, but he is indeed inconsistent. But you know, it's not just him. It's the whole team. It doesn't give him much of a break when you can't get any line to work offensively. At least his line wasn't that bad today, the fourth line was one of the only line to have had chances all game long.

He was so good at the start of the season before his injury.. and he's been complete dog shit ever since then.
