Habs wins Flames and Armia thread is up again. Was sure he gets credit how good he was in last game but no.
Do you want win games or not?

2 points in 17 games is ridiculous, even Drouin has more points than Armia.

I still take Armia over Drouon because the extra points don't make up for the mountain of soft turnovers.

His style of play doesn't fit with what we're trying to do out there.

Not surprising he was the most effective playing with two other slow big guys able to retain possession of the puck and cycle it on the boards to no end.

I wish we would have kept Lekhonen over this guy!
No one wants our trash though.

And Armia turned it around alright. All the way around, stuck his kaboose out and farted right in everyone’s general direction.

I feel like he misses Kotkaniemi or something, guy has been broken since that rat in deers clothing left. Must be nice to play with someone who idolizes you, especially when you’re really not that guy lmao.

Who are you refering to - Staal and Perry, or two members on the current roster?

I wish we would have kept Lekhonen over this guy!

Hopefully Barron and/or the player we get with the 2nd colorado gave us will make us glad we moved Lehkonen... And, of course, Armia wasn't movable anyways...And let's hope Ylonen and Heineman can be good two way bottom sixers.

Yes, you got it.

That line was a killer.
They were amazing for us. Problem was Bergy loved what the line did so much is he resigned only 1/3 of that equation (and for too big of a contract). Granted, i get he tried to resign Perry and it was for the best that Staal walked, but that style of play from the 4th line was never replicated since.

Habs play a rush system and Armia just doesn’t have the legs for it. He’s great on the boards and can cycle, but our line-up doesn‘t lend itself well to that.

They talked about him on the Athletic podcast and Basu spoke with Armia during the prior road trip. Sounds like he does care and his production (lack of) is weighing on him. Just don‘t think he fits into the way the Habs play. In fairness though, I myself am not clear what the team wants from their 4th line.

I have no idea what's the problem with Armioral. Personal, girlfriend, I don't know. He seems not having emotion, he's a zombie on ice. He lost his two friends Lehk and KK, maybe an explanation. Hughes have to make sure to trade him before it gets too embarrassing. Mtl Canadiens is a becoming running joke in this league. Habs must make room for new players like Ylonen, Richards, Heineman, Beck, Hutson, Mesar, Mailloux, etc. Time to turn the page and get rid of the bad vets. Also get rid of Burrows and everybody who doesn't deliver, including J-F Houle.
Clean-up Time !

Lehkonen kept get short-term deals from Bergevin despite being the hardest worker on the team and one of the only players here who stepped up in the playoffs.

Armia had a couple good playoff games after a bunch of inconsistent seasons and that was enough for Bergevin to give him a big 4 year contract.

It was typical Bergevin playing hardball with certain player's contracts, then going and splurging on other contracts with no hesitation.

Why are you surprised that Drouin has more points than Armia? It's been the case like forever. Both are underperforming bottom 6F. Who cares at this point. It's not like they are blocking us for the future like Gallagher might.

This is flawed. You're neglecting age and when the player exists the RFA years. I'm pretty sure Bergevin signs Lehkonen if he remained our GM.

But your point is spot on when it comes to Danault vs Gallagher though

Probably my least favorite player on the team, even more infuriating than Drouin who is what he is.

Can't wait until we can get rid of the "veterans"
