The Cap situation is easily fixed by asking Gallagher to accept being waived as there is zero chance that anyone takes him. They may not do that as I don't think Hughes wants to have that conversation but their appears to be no shortage of combinations that result in a solution to this problem anyways.

Waiving Armia and Lindstrom has already got us 2M closer and simply demoting waiver exempt players on paper pretty much gets us there anyways.

This year will also be Karl Alzner's farewell tour so enjoy him while you can lol.

The reason Yoel hasn't been claimed yet is because there is a vicious dog fight among the 31 teams they are trying to get their hands on the big mean SOB. It will go down to the wire.
Don’t teams have until 2 PM to claim Yoelle and/or Lindstrom?

It's not rare at all to see young players develop on the 3rd line before moving to the top 6 after a year. It's very common. So yeah Armia is stealing time from a kid unless he plays on a 4th line. But i don't think having a guy like Armia on a 4th line is good for a team. He wont be happy to play there it would be better to not have him around at all and give some games to Ylonen and RHP who are both 24. With the inevitable injuries they will eventually get some time in the top 9 anyway. There really is no reason to keep Armia around.
Armia has been playing 3rd and 4th is either career way wouldn’t he be unhappy now being a 4th liner and since when is this guy a distraction… I agree that if he is pick up on waiver it is a positive because of the contract but he isn’t getting pick up, just wondering what he did to generate such hatred…

The amount of skill Armia has is monumental and the amount of laziness and seemingly lack of love for the game is unprecedented. I was so happy we got him and he looked okay at first but wow. I’m not mad I’m just disap

What happen next?
Laval................if he doesn't report, he gets suspended...

Hopefully Armia doesn’t report and we can void his contract.

Correct me if I’m wrong but failure to report results in suspension, not termination.

Termination is only when there are grounds for it(like breach of contract or doing something illegal) or it’s mutual.

Exactly, but most of the times, the player acceots relinquishing the contract. I don't know all those millions are too much to leave on the table. Habs will tell him go to Laval and we buy you out next year, so he can try somewhere else on PTO.

Does Armia get paid still if they loan him to Finland?

Here is the CBA rule on it:

Loan to Clubs Outside North America. The SPC of any Player may contain a clause that provides that, in the event his NHL Club Loans the Player to a club outside the NHL, during the period of such Loan, the Player shall have the option to be Loaned to a club of his choice outside North America. The clause may relieve the NHL Club of the obligation to pay the Player his Paragraph 1 Salary for the duration of such Loan if such relief is expressly stated in the provision, but the NHL Club shall otherwise be responsible for all other payments due to the Player by the NHL Club pursuant to his SPC. Such clause shall be subject to any applicable Player Transfer Agreement between the NHL and a hockey federation and/or the IIHF in effect, at the time of the Loan. The Player shall be permitted to make financial arrangements for compensation and other benefits with the club outside North America for the duration of the Loan, which financial compensation and benefits shall not be included in Averaged Club Salary, Actual Club Salary, League-wide Player Compensation or the Players' Share. The Club shall be required to provide to the NHL and the NHLPA in accordance with Exhibit 3 any loan agreement entered into in relation to such Loan by no later than 5:00 p.m. New York time on the day following the day the Club has received the executed loan agreement.

There should be a few more paper transactions to come yet before the 5pm deadline to get the Habs cap compliant and as close to the cap as possible before adding Price on LTIR to maximize the full amount of his cap hit or close to it right?

Yes, should be 4 waiver exempt players to get under the cap and then recalled after Price is put on LTIR.
