Trying their best to keep youtube relevant. Next time stream directly from the sportsnet website.

Honestly, it's likely more the other way around: baseball is trying to cash in on the growing ubiquity of youtube to reach an audience that's shifting away from TV and may also choose not to subscribe to eleventy billion different streaming services.

I just wish that they weren't YT exclusive. I would rather the YT games were simulcasts of pre-existing national TV broadcasts (and since YT can geo-lock they could easily choose to have Jays games get the Sportsnet broadcast in Canada and a different national broadcast (FOX, ESPN, whatever) in the US. That's probably a pipe dream because networks wouldn't want to partner with a service that threatens their control and relevancy, but I dislike it because I don't necessarily have easy and optimal access to youtube in every room in my house. Sure I can cart my phone around or cue it up on my PS4, but when I'm making dinner the closest TV to the kitchen is not a smart TV and has no streamable tech hooked up to it. So it's a choice of watching on my tiny phone or nothing.

Amazon/Apple/Disney, etc will become those sporting streaming platforms. Payment model for youtube just wont fly with people. On a personal note, they've banned/removed content far too much content and their search is next to useless.

Lourdes seems to be a club house favourite it would likely tick off some of the guys in the room to trade either Lourdes or Biggio who seem to be always be brought up in trades. The value coming back would need to compensate for that as well and he's still a useful piece. Outfield and infield depth is going to get pretty crowded soon though.
Watching games on TV all I always see is Lourdes's contagious smile this guy keeps everyone happy. You can't underappreciate that moral means a lot and he keeps it high. I know you gotta give to get but he's one that I would rather keep.

That's a terrible trade for Miami. A Dickerson/Gurriel platoon would make perfect sense.

Career wRC+

Gurriel:
VS. L - 121
VS. R - 107

Dickerson:
VS. L - 89
VS. R - 122

Grichuk:
VS. L - 111
VS. R - 103

I'd probably platoon with Grichuk personally.

Fun fact, did you guys know Grichuk has an AB as a lefty in the MLB? He struck out.

It's possible he platoons with both, which would be fine as well. Another lefty bat was needed with Tellez blowing his chance.

Whoa, I knew Jansen was getting close, but I didn't realize Kirk was right there with him. Awesome.
