Charlie is an absolute joke of a manager. The pen stinks to begin with but damn every game it seems we have to overcome his idiotic decisions to win.
on the jays postgame they said it was the worst thing they have seen montoyo do, and they have ripped him quite a bit lolI do not understand bringing in Saucedo over Thornton or Payamps. Stewart was the only lefty coming up and he is hitting under .200 vs RHPs

Montoyo's use of Romano has been bad. He is dead set on using him in the ninth regardless of who is batting in the 8th or 9th innings. Currently, there is a big gap between Romano and the other relievers. The O's top of the order was up in the 8th. He has to use Romano there. There shouldn't be another option. Chatwood has struggled. Romano likely pitches a clean inning to the top three batters, then in the 9th go to another reliever to close the game out. The game has evolved from the closer in the 9th crap and Charlie has yet to adapt. It's cost the team wins and he still refuses to budge.

19 Blue Jays Pick: RHP Ryan Cusick, Wake Forest ($3,359,000 slot value)
Cusick is one of the hardest throwers in the draft class and the Blue Jays have a recently history of jumping on big college arms. At this point in the mock high school players offer the most upside, but Cusick has as much ability as any college arm outside the two Vanderbilt righties.
June 11 mock pick: C Adrian Del Castillo, Miami
Imagine he is back again next year - that would be a kick in the ballsSo when are we signing Vladdy to the tatis type contract?
y’all see Montoya back again next year? How long are we going to suffer with this amateur coach? Feels he shoulda been fired long ago….
I’m trying not to even let that Thought enter my mind right now because it would be such a shameImagine he is back again next year - that would be a kick in the balls
I usually defend Montoyo because he does take a lot of unwarnted bad mouthing, but last night Romano was ready and I have no clue as to why he didn't put him in after Chatwood walked the first batter.Charlie is an absolute joke of a manager. Why didn't he start Romano in the 8th?Well Chatwood has to face at least 3 batters once he enters the game(or finish the inning but since he started it that's at least 3 batters anyway). But once he walks 2 guys you have to pull him after the 3rd guy regardless of what the 3rd guy does, and you don't go to Saucedo.
A) It was necessary
B) It's been 9 days since he's pitched, if last night wasn't what you consider necessary then you might as well put him on the IL and got another arm up here since he's eligible to come off it again TOMORROW!!!!!
edit: Borucki's been out for what 5 weeks now? Remember when that was a small thing they didn't want to put him on the IL for? I don't understand the aversion to putting someone on the IL when they're not ready to pitch and they can come off it again in a couple days
