Being like 6-7 weeks away from the draft, when do we typically start hearing actual rumors of guys we may be looking at? I know they're pretty tight lipped anyways. But we heard enough rumblings on Groshans and Manoah in recent years. And last year no one thought Martin would be here, so hard to say if rumors of us liking Veen or Meyer were accurate, but there was smoke. I need the smoke.
We've been consistently connected to the two high school catchers, Harry Ford and Joe Mack. I'm not sure if that's based on inside info or just a guess. I personally like a few players more, but I'd go with with Ford if forced to choose.

Too bad now his debut will line up with the Leafs game tomorrow. Tonight would have been perfect. Nobody you can blame for the weather. I can try to blame Atkins or Montoyo, though:sarcasm:

Damn it I was looking forward to the game all day

At least we get a double header tomorrow.
We needed a double header today because tomorrow most will miss the 4pm game because of work and most will miss the 7pm game because of the Leafs game.

Luckily I get off work at 3:30 so i will make it home for 4, but yeah I will focus my attention towards the Leafs game, but should still catch a good amount of it.

DR Olympic qualifying roster is lit

Bautista, Melky, Juan Francisco and Bonifacio, and Julio Rodriguez as well.

Keith Law released his first mock draft.

19. Toronto Blue Jays: Mike McGreevy, RHP, UC Santa Barbara

The Blue Jays have shown they’re willing to go college or high school, but I don’t think they’ll go high school pitcher in the first round. McGreevy is a “safe” pick as college arms go, with some of the best command in the draft and probably the best control, with just 10 walks this year in 88 2/3 innings, never more than two walks in any single start.

He also doesn't have Jud Fabian (or Ty Madden) in the first round at all.

Michael N.
Did that 0-11 with 9K last weekend pretty much send Jud Fabian out of the 1st Round or was he never there to begin with?

Keith Law
@Michael N. He was never there to begin with. At least not since the season started.

Dawson H.
No love for Ty Madden in the 1st round? Maybe to Milwaukee or Toronto, or as a backup for mid-round teams shooting for the Vandy boys?

Keith Law
@Dawson H. I haven't heard any teams on Madden in the first. He's just not that good.

That's how I see him too. If I'm going OF, I'd be interested in Montgomery instead.
I think Montgomery goes earlier but I'd be happy with him or Baez at our pick. Baez has the same potential strikeout issues as Fabian but he's younger and also has the fallback of being a hard throwing right hander.

My top guy right now though is high school lefty Solometo. He's unorthodox but there's something special there imo. His team just won the county championship last night with him striking out 12 in 5.

This video is not from last night but gives you an idea of his stuff.
