It's also just Tolvanen's 2nd season, could be sophomore slump.
One thing that 3x$1.45M deal bought him was a lot of leeway. I understand why players will push for max $$$ of course. But if you're a young guy trying to make your way, a team-friendly deal can have some extra benefits.

So is he 5-9 or 5-11 lmao

Scouts do that, they list my son at 6'1" even though he's barely smidge over 6'.
They've also decided my brother is 6'5" or 6'6". He's an inch or two short of that. (Still the tallest member of the family. For now; our teenage nephew is catching up to him, and his own sons look like they might be able to launch a challenge of their own as they get older...)

Funny, Arvidsson is always one of the guys I think about when they overrate their height. He can't be more than 5'8", and I've seen him listed at 5'9" all the way to 5'11".

I've met him, I'm taller than him, I'm 5'9".

Kemell was ranked in top5/top7 but he was a good candidate to drop due to his size.
He’s ”only” a smaller winger and teams will always make a push for Dmen and potential C’s.

His ceiling is a (smart) 1st line sniper

Building a logjam on the right side in the future with Tomasino, Kemell and Evangelista. Pretty nice problem to have, though.

I think with this pick, our forward prospect pool looks good. Kemell, Tomasino, Evangelista and L'Heureux are all on the smaller side. Svechkov, Glass, Pärssinen and Afanasyev fortunately bring some size.

So Tomasino's not going to end up as a center? I haven't followed him enough, I just assumed he would become one

Our lead Euro scout defending his boy. He was pumped for this pick.

That evaluation is pretty dubious.

Indeed, not an average skater, he's above average.

More importantly, he's not an inconsistent forechecker. In U-18 WJCs, he was Finland's best forechecker by a massive margin. It's a strength.

Don't really understand the third con, either. He uses space to make plays. No, he doesn't "always" use space. Even McDavid doesn't "always" use space. All 3 "cons" feel like bogus to me.

On him being 5'9" - yes, that always is a concern. However, he was very strong on his feet in Liiga, especially for his size. And he plays and competes very hard. Intensity's way up for him.

If he wasn't forechecking well in other games this season, that's what could be meant by "inconsistent". :dunno:

Yeah about that, Kemell the rookie of the year last season, is a smart young man. He wants to finish school before hr comes to play over there. He as said in the media that he plans on playing one more season in JYP so you might have to wait a little bit longer to see him in action. He might come to the rookie camp though.
