Was noticeable and scored our goal. Apart from that: Howden 1 goal in 16, Barbashev none in 13, Koleslaw none in 11, Stone 1 in 10, Olofsson 2 in 13, Karlsson was 0 for 14 when he went on IR, and of course there's Holtz, and Roy is 0 for 10. Our problem isn't defense.

I haven't been active here at all. Stretched thin between two favorite teams and difficulties at work. Just felt like saying it feels like a serious miscalculation keeping Hill over Thompson. Especially with Hill's play last season.

I think I have made my feelings on the matter pretty well known I think I say I miss Logan Thompson at least ten times a day... heck even at the time I thought it was a dumb move.

He asked to be traded. It's not like he'd shown he was any better or more consistent than Hill prior to this season. Let's just say they trade Hill instead to placate LT and with Hill being an UFA after this season it wouldn't have been an unreasonable trade to make to save a few million in cap space, I would not have felt comfortable at all with LT being the #1A. Would he still be hazing a Vezina caliber season? We'll never know.

On this point I would disagree, there was a stretch where he was fairly pedestrian, but outside that there were large swaths where he was great, Hill had the cup run and the start of the following season, and the start of that season he was about as good as Thompson, it's hard to quantify the cup run. Additionally and maybe it's selective memory but I vividly recall a large number of games LT would keep us in games we had no business being in, I don't recall seeing that for Hill and least not to the same degree. I would have kept LT over Hill 10 times out of 10 at the seasons start, now it's at lest 20 times out of 10. Your last point is fair enough, but I believe it a more probable outcome.

Seems to be the MO for this team, i recall the old drinking game where you'd drink when we'd miss the nets when shot from a great shooting position. We perhaps need to stop using soccer goals in practice.
